Department Members
Probationary Firefighter is the rank assigned to all new members of the department. Probationary Firefighters are required to complete three ride-alongs per our FTO program guidelines, in order to be certified for solo patrol and eligible for promotion.
Once a Probationary Firefighter is eligible for promotion, he/she will be promoted to the rank of Firefighter I, except for in certain circumstances in which a Probationary Firefighter may be promoted to Firefighter II.
Directly above the rank of Firefighter I, is the rank of Firefighter II. Firefighters that have been promoted to FF2 are able to apply to be Field Training Officers.
Next is the rank of Firefighter III. Firefighters are promoted to this rank because they have shown the ability to be thorough, professional, and would possibly make good candidates for a Chain of Command position.
Next is the rank of Senior Firefighter. Firefighters are promoted to this rank for their efforts both on Active Duty and Assisting with the paperwork within the department. This rank signifies trust & willingness within the San Andreas Fire Rescue.
Department Staff in Training
Station Assistant Supervisors are the first rank in the Chain of Command. Station Assistant Supervisors handle Roster maintenance & ensuring Recruits and Reserve Firefighters are trained to department standards.
Station Supervisors are the next rank after Assistant Station Supervisors. Station Supervisors handle 30-day Inactivity Checks under the supervision of the department's Station Officers.
Department Staff
Station Officer is the first rank considered department staff. Firefighters that have reached this rank have demonstrated their leadership skills and have passed the Station Officer Exam. Station Officers handle Patrol Logs for the department and supervise the department's Station Officers.
Station Commander is the next rank directly above Station Officer. Station Commanders have an increased responsibility within the department. Station Commanders directly supervise the department's Station Supervisors. Station Commanders handle reporting Commendations to the department that they receive through the San Andreas Fire Rescue Commendation Form.
Division Commander is the final SAFR Staff rank and is directly above the rank of Station Commander. The San Andreas Fire Rescue has three Division Commander positions, and members of this rank are responsible for leading other department non-commissioned Firefighters (SAS-SC). In addition, Division Commanders handle Department Discipline in regard to In-game Violations they witness or another CoC member sees and reports to the command team.
Department Senior Staff
The rank of Fire Lieutenant is the first Senior Staff rank in the San Andreas Fire Rescue. Members of this rank have shown increased dedication to the department as well as proven proficient in their field knowledge. Fire Lieutenants are also responsible for managing all Transfer Requests, both internal and external, in addition to the Reserve Firefighter Program and Reserve Firefighter Applications.
Fire Captain is the rank directly above Fire Lieutenant in the rank structure. Captains are responsible for managing community relations and managing the San Andreas Fire Rescue Documentation, SOP, and the SAFR Department Portal Portal.
Department Command
The rank of Battalion Chief is the first rank in the Chain of Command that is considered "Administrative Command." and is considered community Junior Administration. Members of Administrative Command are the upper echelon of the SAFR's operations, and as such, members chosen to be promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief must have demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills. The Battalion Chiefs also represent the department at community meetings.
Assistant Fire Chief is the next rank in the Chain of Command and is directly above the rank of Battalion Chief. The Assistant Fire Chief is considered community Junior Administration and has demonstrated strength in the areas of investigations and discipline. The Assistant Fire Chief is considered an Honorary SAFR Internal Affairs Member. The Assistant Fire Chief also manages the department Vehicle Structure and publishes the monthly department newsletter.
The Deputy Fire Chief is the second-in-command for the operations of the department. The Deputy Fire Chief is the SAFR Internal Affair's Supervisor, In addition to being the department's Development Liaison. The Deputy Fire Chief is responsible for overseeing the subdivision training(s) and managing SAFR subdivisions.
Fire Chief is the highest rank in the structure. The Fire Chief is the Honorary SAFR Internal Affair's Director. The Fire Chief is also in charge of ensuring the department is running efficiently and dealing with issues at his/her level to the best of their ability, In addition to being the Department Liaison between other HoD's within the Community.
