All submissions should be directed here, and any questions, comments, or concerns should be sent to ornicogoesjumping@gmail.com or in the form along with your submission.

Submissions accepted in English and French, or in other languages if an English or French translation accompanies in. Everyone aged 13 and up is eligible, regardless of their place of residence.
There is no limit to the number of submissions a person can submit but we reccomend you stick to the rule of "quality of quantity". No submissions will be accepted from teachers or parents unless the artist is not capable of submitting their own work.
We accept simultaneous submissions and, on occasion, previously published works. Please let us know in your submission if this is the case. There are no restrictions based on themes, form, style, etc. Note, however, that we are unlikely to publish anything unsuitable for a younger audience to read, and we ask that, if applicable, you attach a content warning in your cover letter. You can submit anonymously, under a chosen name, or with your given name!
Submissions are and always will remain free. As compensation, we can currently offer online publication only, as we have no funding and the journal is new. However, we like to send out pieces we especially liked in our newsletters, if we have your consent, or publish them on the website and we are very happy further promote our contributors in any way we can (for example, by nominating them for wider contests!) Once we manage to expand our funding, offering more compensation will be our top priority.
We accept poetry, visual art, photography, fiction, non-fiction, and hybrid forms. If you are unsure whether your piece fits within these guidelines, feel free to submit it anyway! We are quite flexible, so it is likely that it will work. Please keep all writing under around 1000 words. In doubt, submit!
Rolling submission---submissions accepted all year round.
We aim to respond to all submissions within 1 month, but please be patient and remember that we are youth running the journal :) However, please let us know if it has been more that 3 months and you have not received a response.
All people under 18 who submit will receive 2-5 lines of feedback on their piece (unless they prefer not, in which case they can indicate so on the submission form).
