For all events listed below, all are welcome, no experience necessary, and song books will be available for loan or purchase.

• Weeknight Singings at the home of Dean and Rachel in Oviedo. Our Weekly Practice Singings in Oviedo are shifting to an ad-hoc basis for the next few months due to scheduling conflicts. Any time you want to sing, we'd love to host, so please email or text me (Rachel) with your preferred dates: respeer@gmail.com or 301.943.0515. We often do some singing-school-style instruction and slow practice of parts especially for new singers. We sing from a variety of shape-note tunebooks including The Christian Harmony, 2010 (DoReMi, 7 shapes), and 4-shape books including The Sacred Harp: 2025 Edition, The Sacred Harp, Revised Cooper Edition, 2012, The Shenandoah Harmony, and The Valley Pocket Harmonist. Please feel free to invite friends and let me know if you plan to come, would like email or text-message reminders, need our address, or have any questions. 

• Sunday, April 12, 1pm-5pm, Orlando Monthly Singing at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1655 Peel Avenue, Orlando. Note the extended time (4 horus!) and new venue. We will meet in John Calvin Memorial Hall, which is the building to the right of the sanctuary as you look from the street. Upstairs or use the elevator next to the sanctuary. We sing from both The Sacred Harp: 2025 Edition and The Sacred Harp, Revised Cooper Edition, 2012. 

• Saturday, April 19, 3:30pm – 5:30pm: Sweetwater Monthly Singing at Church of the Mediator, 501 NE Cholokka Blvd, Micanopy, FL. Singing from The Sacred Harp: 2025 Edition. Every 3rd Sunday of the month except December. Sweetwater Sacred Harp Singers

• Sunday, April 26, 1:00 – 5:30pm: Jacksonville Monthly Singing at St John's Lutheran Church, 1950 Silver St, Jacksonville, FL, United States, Florida. Every 4th Sunday of the month.

• Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16: Tallahassee Singing from The Shenandoah Harmony on Friday evening and from The Sacred Harp, Revised Cooper Edition (2012) on Saturday.

• Friday through Sunday, May 22-24, Florida Folk Festival at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, Florida. Please contact Rachel at respeer@gmail.com by April 13th if you would like to participate.

• Sunday, May 31, 10am – 2:30pm: Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, 17385 Bethlehem Road, Lithia (Old Chicora), Florida. Singing from The Sacred Harp, Revised Cooper Edition (2012), every Fifth Sunday. Please bring food to share for a potluck lunch. For more information, contact Claudia at mscdm1967@gmail.com
