Quilts
Our members have put together a display that showcases a wide variety of techniques, skills and experience for your enjoyment.
Feature Quilter
Farming, teaching and raising 3 sons were my full-time commitments. Retirement has provided the opportunity to do a deep dive into quilting and to finally finish a project.
I love to learn. I have had the opportunity to learn the new approaches to different aspects of making quilts. Quilters are brilliant in creating new methods of tackling simple and complex designs. Plus, dyeing fabric, designing quilts, attaching all kinds of materials to the face of quilts, and choosing and sewing quilting designs, just adds to the fun!
And I love being a part of the Orillia Quilters’ Guild; where friends meet and share the works of art that they have created.
My display is a culmination of ten years of learning….and the projects that made it, to finished.
Antique Quilts
