Hello! My name is Natasha and I am a university student majoring in English literature. As a tutor, I am passionate about fostering a genuine interest for English studies as well as teaching students advanced techniques and literary analysis skills to confidently perform in the HSC exams. I believe in encouraging students to meaningfully engage with literary texts as opposed to relying on standardised teaching methods that don't cater to students' individual needs.
I have a special interest in what are considered to be the more challenging texts taught as part of the secondary English syllabus, including Early Modern poetry and drama, literature of the long eighteenth-century, and modern classics.
I am in the final year of my bachelor's degree and plan to undertake further postgraduate work. My experience as a high-achieving university student has taught me to analyse a broad range of genres and text types, clearly communicate complex ideas, and compose top-mark essays. Most importantly, I am an open-minded person with a positive attitude to teaching. Whether you are a student aiming for success in the HSCs, or a highschooler struggling with your English studies, I look forward to helping you get the results you want.
