What is 'Hyraith'?

Hyraith is a "soon" to be finished and published story of two main characters' lives from beginning to end. It is written by two different people, meaning each main character is written in a different perspective by a different person. My character is Kira Sandu in 'Hyraith And The Song Of The Deep', while Aren Ambrose is written by Axe in 'Hyraith And The Sacrfical Lamb".

What is it about?

Hyraith is about Kira and Aren reaching one single goal; defeating the Wraith. The two are destined as the heroes that save Hyraith from its enemy the Wraith ever since birth. Destined to build the Sole Blade mid fight as it is the only way to end the Wraith’s desire to rule over Hyraith and all its creatures. They are faced with enemies disguised as allies, hardships that take a toll physically and mentally, the government trying their best to kill any and all creatures that aren’t human, the war against monsters and humans, and much more all in hopes to take back Hyraith. Hyraith is full of ups and downs and heart-wrenching scenes, impacting stories, real life issues, and diverse captivating characters. But all of it seems to be the curtain hiding the stage, a story hidden in a book. Who’s really in control of this all? Who’s holding the pen?

Unfortunately, since Hyraith is still a huge work in progress you won't be able to read the whole story yet, but I will share a list of Characters and their history as well as what they look like, and I will share the little extra info timbits and headcanons that we make canon!

Kira Sandu and Aren Ambrose

These two are the main characters of Hyraith! / Kira is a deep sea siren from the depths of Hyraith's waters. She was gifted her mark at a young age and her mark rests on her stomach. After her human friend stopped coming to the shoreline, Kira learned how to transform into a human and now walks on land in her human like disguise. / Aren is a human raised in the Wreignism cult. They were raised as the Wreign's (or Wraith's) successor incase something happend to the Wreign. They were put through a demonic ritual which lead them to being possessed by a powerful goat demon named Silas. They now have goat like features due to Silas's precence inside them.

Edmund Ramos and Saffron Ripley

Edmund and Saffron are the love intrsests for Kira and Aren! / As a child Edmund would rush to the shoreline of Hyraith to play in the water with his siren friend. Of course, that was until high school came around and he visted less and less. Attending a catholic school, Edmund met his lifelong friend Aren. / When saffron was a fledgling she spent most of her time lingering in back alleys and graveyards. Eventually she grew bored of hiding within the shadows…sneaking into a boat and arriving in a modern-day Hyraith, a world completely brand new to her—only to get mixed up in an underground monster association, giving her both a source of blood, and purpose. At least, until she was stalking one of her human targets she ends up fascinated with a Satyr walking with crutches.

Caitlyn Sandu-Ramos and Bea Ambrose-Ripley

These two are the main characters of Hyraith book two! / Caitlyn was born during the first book of Hyraith. He is a half human half siren hybrid and soon to be recgonized as the first monster legally allowed within human society. After his mother's passing, Caitlyn is legft to be raised by Edmund. Of course, with the help of Aren and Saffron. / Bea was created in a human science facility. Brought together by extremetly strong amounts of energy which exploded into a being. He is then rescused by the main cast of book 1 and soon to be adopted by Aren and Saffron.

The Prophecy

Her ascension is prophesied. She seeks to tear the skies and cast the world into everlasting darkness. Seeking to drive all who wrong her to damnation.

All those who seek her demise shall find salvation above shores just as the ancestors had dreamed. For she is an immovable threat. Seeking to doom the people of the seas to enteral heated evaporation.

However, where the seas part, there is hope.

A gift will be bestowed upon the one true daughter of Neptune. Her skin will shine with colours from the rainbow, like reflected sun on ocean waves.

Her song must be pulled from her throat. Melodies of life swimming to connect with its counterpart. To create the weapon of peace.

Her ascension is prophesied. She seeks to tear the skies and cast the world into everlasting darkness. Seeking to drive all who wrong her to damnation.

All those who seek her favour shall find salvation in shadows. Just as the ancestors had conquered. For she is an eternal blessing. Seeking to save the people of her faith from the raging tides of fate.

However, where the mouth of hell opens, there is despair.

A curse will be bestowed upon the one true child of the damned. Horns invaded in colours will sprout from their skull, burning like the fires of hell.

Their faith must be shattered from their mind. Thoughts of chaos bursting to connect with its counterpart. To create the weapon of destruction.

Blade in hand, string severed, there will no longer be shore and land. Water and fire. There will only be a beautiful clash of both. The raging tides will quell and the enertal evaporation will never fall.

The Wraith must meet her end at the hands of the Soul Blade.

Go forth, people of Hyraith, in search of horn and soul.

Magic System

How magic functions

Monsters have a natural ability to draw magic from inside of them. Their bodies can generate natural mana or work as a catalyst for performing magic at will.
Humans usually require some kind of knowledge or very rarely have a natural ability to cast magic. However most of the time they require an outside source or catalyst.

Different types of magic

Casters: Poses a natural well of magic and can freely ‘cast’ from their body (also the most common form of magic with monsters)
Ritual: Needs some kind of build up from an external performance to use magic (typically different rituals can do different magic)
Physical: Magic that can alter the physical form, can be either complete transformation or drawing something from the physical form
Summoner: Has to draw/Summon magic from an outside entity or call upon said outside entity. (Most common type of magic with humans)
