right. Silent Defense is built from the ground up with privacy as the core 

principle, not an afterthought.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle (and don't handle) your data.

2. WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

Silent Defense is designed with a zero-collection architecture. We do NOT 

collect:

❌ Browsing history or URLs you visit

❌ Search queries or keywords

❌ Photos, images, or media files

❌ Contacts, emails, or personal data

❌ Location information

❌ Device identifiers (IDFA, UDID, etc.)

❌ IP addresses

❌ Device model or iOS version for tracking

❌ App usage statistics or analytics

❌ Crash reports or error logs

❌ Apple ID or account information

❌ Any personally identifiable information (PII)

We don't have servers that receive or store user data because Silent Defense 

operates entirely on your device.

3. WHAT WE DO COLLECT (ON-DEVICE ONLY)

All data collection is LOCAL TO YOUR DEVICE:

3.1 Blocking Rules Configuration

• Your whitelist of sites to exclude from blocking

• Your custom blocking rule preferences

• Your browser extension settings

• Storage: Encrypted in iOS Keychain on your device

3.2 Photo Analysis Results

• When you use the photo cleaner, it analyzes your photos locally

• Screenshots detected via iOS metadata on your device

• Large files identified via file size on your device

• Storage: Temporary during scan, then deleted after your session

• This data NEVER leaves your device

3.3 Video Control History

• Your video playback speed preferences

• Your Picture-in-Picture usage patterns

• Storage: Local to your device's app sandbox

None of this data leaves your device. Ever.

4. HOW WE PROCESS DATA (ZERO-CLOUD POLICY)

4.1 On-Device Processing

All processing happens entirely on your iOS device:

• Ad and tracker blocking: Happens in Safari locally

• Photo analysis: Runs locally using Apple's PhotoKit API

• Filtering: Uses local rule databases stored on your device

• No data is transmitted to our servers

4.2 No Network Requests

Silent Defense makes NO network requests for:

• Blocking rules (rules are bundled with the app)

• Usage tracking

• Behavioral analysis

• Crash reporting

• Advertisement purposes

4.3 Offline Functionality

Silent Defense works completely offline. You don't need internet to:

• Block ads and trackers

• Analyze and delete photos

• Control video playback

• Use any feature

5. PERMISSIONS & WHY WE REQUEST THEM

5.1 Safari Extension Permission

• Why: To block ads, trackers, and provide web enhancements

• What we can see: Only page content you visit (not stored or sent)

• Data use: Local filtering only

• iOS Requirement: Granted through Settings → Safari → Extensions

5.2 Photos Permission

• Why: To scan your photo library for screenshots and large files

• What we can see: Your photo metadata and file sizes (local only)

• Data use: To help you manage storage

• iOS Requirement: Granted when you first use the photo cleaner

• Your control: You can revoke this in Settings → Origin AI → Photos

5.3 Video Permission (if applicable)

• Why: To provide playback controls in embedded videos

• What we can see: Only videos on web pages you're visiting

• Data use: Video playback enhancement

• Storage: Not stored or tracked

6. THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS

6.1 Apple Services

Silent Defense integrates with Apple's native services:

• Safari Extensions API

• PhotoKit Framework

• WebKit

Your data remains in Apple's ecosystem, not ours. Apple's Privacy Policy

6.2 Blocking Rule Databases

We use third-party open-source filtering databases (EasyList, EasyPrivacy, etc.) 

that are bundled with the app. These are NOT connected to external services and 

don't track you.

6.3 No Third-Party Analytics

We do NOT use:

• Google Analytics

• Firebase

• Facebook Pixel

• Mixpanel

• Crashlytics

• Any other analytics SDK

7. DATA YOU CAN EXPORT & DELETE

7.1 Your Data Control

Your blocking preferences and settings are stored on your device. You can:

• Export settings by backing up your device

• Restore settings by restoring your device backup

• Clear all settings by uninstalling and reinstalling the app

7.2 Deleting Your Data

To permanently delete all Silent Defense data:

• Uninstall the App from your device

• All local data is immediately deleted

• No data remains on any server (we don't have any)

8. SECURITY MEASURES

8.1 Local Encryption

• Your blocking preferences are encrypted in iOS Keychain

• Your photo analysis results are encrypted in the app sandbox

• Your settings are protected by iOS file system encryption

8.2 No Backend Servers

Since Silent Defense has no servers:

• No data breaches of user data possible

• No unauthorized access to user information possible

• No hacking risk to user data storage

8.3 Code Security

• The app is notarized by Apple

• The app is signed with our developer certificate

• The app is regularly scanned for vulnerabilities

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Silent Defense does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app 

has no features that would target children. If you are a parent and believe 

your child has provided information, please contact us immediately at

10. DATA RETENTION

10.1 How Long We Keep Data

We don't keep any user data because we don't collect it. Data on your device is 

retained as long as you use the app and deletes when you uninstall.

10.2 Backup & Sync

If you use iCloud to back up your device, your Silent Defense settings will be 

included. These are protected under Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy.

11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

11.1 Right to Access

You have the right to know what data we collect about you. Answer: We collect 

nothing about you.

11.2 Right to Deletion

You have the right to delete your data. Answer: All your data is on your device 

and deleted when you uninstall the app.

11.3 Right to Correction

You have the right to correct inaccurate data. Answer: You control all your 

data locally.

11.4 Right to Object

You have the right to object to processing. Answer: No processing happens on 

our servers.

11.5 Right to Portability

You have the right to receive your data. Answer: Your data is already on your 

device under your control.

Silent Defense complies with GDPR because we:

We don't track your:
