These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern Your use of the Origami: Paper Folding & Craft mobile application (the "App"), provided by Software Tech Solutions Limited, Unit 2202, 22/F., Causeway Bay Plaza I, 489 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (the "Company", "We", "Us" or "Our").
By downloading, installing or using the App, You agree to be bound by these Terms and by Our Privacy Policy. If You do not agree, do not use the App and uninstall it from Your device.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If You are under the age of majority where You live, You may use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on Your behalf.
The App is free to download and use. It does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, and is supported by advertising.
Subject to these Terms, the Company grants You a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices You own or control, for Your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
Copy, modify, translate, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the App, except where the law expressly allows it.
Rent, sell, sublicense, distribute or make the App available to others.
Copy, extract, republish or sell the App's folding instructions, step photos or tutorial videos.
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notices in the App.
Interfere with, block or tamper with the ads shown in the App, or generate fake ad clicks or impressions.
Use bots, scripts or other automated means to access the App or its services.
Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that breaches these Terms.
The App provides step-by-step instructions, photos and videos for origami, 3D origami and kirigami models for personal learning and hobby use. Results depend on the paper You use and how You follow the steps, and We do not guarantee that every model will turn out exactly as shown.
Kirigami and some models require scissors, craft knives or glue. Use sharp tools carefully, keep them away from young children, and make sure children craft only under adult supervision. You are responsible for using materials and tools safely.
The App shows ads, including native, interstitial and app-open ads, served by Google AdMob and its partners. Some actions, such as opening a model or a tutorial video, may show an ad first.
Ads are provided by third parties. The Company does not control and is not responsible for the content of ads, or for the products, services or websites they promote. Any dealings You have with advertisers are solely between You and them. How ad data is used is explained in Our Privacy Policy.
The App relies on third-party services such as Google Play, Google AdMob, Google Firebase and a video content delivery provider. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. The Company is not responsible for third-party services, and features that depend on them, such as tutorial videos, may stop working if those services change or become unavailable.
The App and all of its content, including folding instructions, step photos, tutorial videos, model artwork, music, sounds, text, graphics, logos and software, are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to You.
Some music, sounds and assets are used under third-party licences, which remain the property of their respective owners.
Paper models You fold yourself by following the App belong to You.
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the App, or any feature or content in it, at any time and without notice. Some updates may be required to keep using the App. Tutorial videos are streamed online and need an internet connection the first time You watch them.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its affiliates, officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, or any injury caused by the use of craft tools or materials, arising from Your use of or inability to use the App.
Because the App is provided free of charge, the Company's total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, losses or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from Your breach of these Terms or Your misuse of the App.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end Your access to the App if You breach these Terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory consumer law in Your country gives You the right to bring a claim locally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, We will also show a notice in the App. Continuing to use the App after the changes take effect means You accept the updated Terms.
