A Page for Teachers

A few notes:

Origami Oasis is a collection of origami activities that can be used by individuals, small groups and whole class.

Upper elementary and middle grade level students will find it most beneficial.

Beginner, Advancing and Master activities are organized by progressing difficulty but also theme.

  • Beginner models can be used for role play and writing activities.

  • Advancing models are modular--several repeated pieces form one object. Angles, shape, and precision folding are ever more emphasized in these models. Geometry and science concepts are easily linked.

  • Master activities require stamina and attention to detail. These models combine art with science and math.

  • All levels teach social-emotional lessons of patience, self control and perseverance.
