DONATION DRIVE
DONATION DRIVE
The donation drive was a huge success, and we cannot thank you all enough. We have loaded up the trailer with 8 generators, 10+ large boxes of diapers, 7 boxes of clean clothes, undergarments, and winter gear, a box of shoes, a bunch of empty water jugs, dozens of containers of baby formula, 3 large boxes of food, 5 cases of water bottles, dozens of pillows and blankets, safety items, personal care items, cleaning products, first aid items, etc etc etc. and it is all thanks to the generosity of the people of Bend. We feel so lucky to be able to call ourselves new residents of Bend.
If you missed the drive, but still feel called to help, there are a couple of links below for financial donations, or you can order supplies directly to Cornerstone Physical Therapy to be distributed to the people of the greater Asheville area.
Also, a big thanks to KTVZ News and Reserves at Pilot Butte for helping us organize all of this.

The kind folks of Central Oregon,
My name is Schuyler Morgan. I am an Asheville native who moved to Bend OR this spring. In wake of this storm, I have decided that I must go back and offer my services to help undo the horrendous amount of damage caused by Hurricane Helene. I am in a unique situation where I can carry in supplies that are no longer available to people in the region. Additionally, I will be bringing several generators that can be used to power well pumps as a means for filling bulk water storage containers and dispersing them amongst the community. At this time fresh, clean water is in short supply and only available to those lucky enough to have power or functioning vehicles. I plan to repair well pumps and operate them long enough to help families and neighbors fill their tanks, then move to the next location.
On October 5th and 6th I will be collecting much-needed supplies to help the people of Western North Carolina, many of whom have lost everything to Hurricane Helene. On October 11th I will be departing Bend for the 2,600 mile drive.
Mission:
To deliver consumable supplies to resource centers. Diapers, formula, and rash cream are highly sought after. Dry lightweight ready to eat food is in high demand.
To use generators for powering wells that can fill the water storage containers that can then be dispersed throughout the community. Water storage containers are needed
To use generators to aid contractors that are restoring residential power.
Additional statement:
My trailer has a 2500lb weight limit and limited space, so acceptance of wet food and bottled water are limited.
