We are a statewide, collaborative network, welcoming K-16 math leaders

(educators, TOSAs, & admin)

OSL is led by a team of Oregon science specialists/TOSAs

Join the OSL

Note: We are committed to protecting this space for K-16 educators and administrators: we do not allow the promotion of paid services or materials. Please do not request to join this group if you are a science curriculum/materials vendor.

Our Vision:

Be brave and impactful together, through community and collaboration

Students who are marginalized in our systems are at the center of our work

Our Mission:

Work for science education that is meaningful, culturally relevant, and personally empowering

Transform science education systems to meet the needs and goals of every student (demographics of success and enrollment match overall school and district demographics)

Attend our Monthly Meetings!

Monthly OSL Meetings

Who should attend? If you are a TOSA, administrator, or specialist, please join our monthly OSL meetings. We know that this timing isn’t great for classroom teachers, but science teacher leaders are always welcome at our monthly meetings.

Meeting description: Meeting participants will learn about upcoming science opportunities and hear adoption updates from ODE. We will also use this time to highlight innovative, equity-centered science frameworks and local efforts. All OSL members will receive post-meeting slides and materials.

Meeting logistics: 2nd Tuesday of the month (Oct-May) on Zoom, time TBD

Registration for SY24-25 meetings will open in September!
