The Oregon (OR) Embalmer Apprenticeship (Not an Intern Apprentice) Practice Course is designed to teach you all aspects of the funeral profession. This course will provide you with a solid foundation in the skills and knowledge required by funeral directors. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to perform all tasks related to funeral service including but not limited to: preparing bodies, embalming, casketing and cosmetology. You will also learn about grief counseling and bereavement services as well as cremation services.
This course is taught by experienced instructors who are certified by the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). It includes classroom lectures, hands-on training and one-on-one training sessions with professional embalmers from the Portland area.
This program provides students with an opportunity to earn credit hours toward their apprenticeship requirements for licensure in Oregon (OR).
