Perhaps nowhere in Northern California can you see so many different kinds of wildflowers as when hiking to this string of alpine lakes below Mount Eddy. And if you’re a fan of viewpoints, just keep following the trail up to the abandoned lookout on Mount Eddy’s summit. At 9025 feet it’s the highest point in the entire Klamath Mountains, with a breathtaking front-row view of Mt. Shasta.
