Notes on Membership
All members who join the group must read over materials that set expectations for individual attitude, group behavior, and the Sanatorian Path that guides the group. All members must agree to abide to those lists of expectations and practices, at least as far as group dynamics and interactions go.

Expectations of Members
Expectations of all members include:
- Come to gatherings as often as possible in order to best contribute to the overall Order and to contribute to any continuing education.
- Remain mindful of the threefold law - positive, uplifting, healing energies are the standard expectation for attitude and tone during all Order business and group social interactions. Toxic energy and problematic behavior will not be permitted to remain in the group.
Member Contributions
Member Contributions
- In exchange for the access to knowledge and community provided by the High Council, all members are expected to give back to the Order through various forms of service. This service can take many forms, including but not limited to volunteering to teach classes, helping set up for open houses, assisting with semi-annual events, assisting with Order administrative work, contributing to the food and snack selection at gatherings, or giving donations of any size. It is understood that every person’s situation and abilities are different, and we encourage individuals to contribute that which best suits their personal abilities and lifestyle.
- In the case of ‘At Large’ members, this contribution may look different, such as contributing sets of notes for a class or teaching a class long via the internet.
Types of Members
Types of Members
- Active Members may be considered “local” or “at large.”
- Local Members are those who are able to and do regularly attend meetings, activities and/or academic programs in person at the Covenstead.
- At Large Members are those who either live too far away to regularly attend meetings at the Covenstead, or whose life circumstances prevent them from regularly attending meetings in person, but who still actively contribute to their studies and the Order through digital means such as email or social media. At Large Members are responsible for utilizing existing digital resources, more to come in the near future, and making any necessary plans with the members of the High Council to continue in their educational journey.
