We will help cover the cost of standard class travel for PhD students from other institutions to attend an Orbit Meeting.
We are working to a limited budget, so we ask students to try to keep the cost of their travel as low as possible (for example, by booking advance rail tickets and using a railcard if they already have one). We do not expect the cost to exceed £50, but if it does we ask that you provide evidence for the full cost but claim reimbursement of only £50. We will not make reimbursements exceeding £50.
Students should ensure that they complete the registration form at the meeting, since reimbursement cannot be made otherwise.
Complete the Non-staff Expense Claim Form available at
https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/misc/finance/expenses-non-university-staff
and send the completed form with appropriate receipts to
orbitmeetings@gmail.com
within two weeks of the relevant Orbit Meeting.
