Open you page with simple prose giving an overview and purpose of the webpage. Use an interesting background behind this overview! Explain why this orator is important. You can also use this style to break up your prose and add images (see Ella Baker image below).
Embed a relevant song from soundcloud here. Explain how this song is connected to the orator in focus.
Add your infographic here of your orator's biography (c/o of Hannah) and important dates in their lives.
In at least 500 words, discuss your orator. You can use multiple sections to do this or you can use one long section. It is up to you. In your 500 words, you must address social issues and historical contexts facing your orator in an interesting way. Do not use A.I. This section should close with a bibliography.
Embed at least two youtube videos of a speech by your orator. It must be wrapped and line up evenly with the other texts. In 150 words, describe the importance of each video for our history, for Black rhetoric, and for American Oratory.
Use many images on your page. No single image can float alone. Be sure to cite your source of your images.
Work in these long rectangular sections of the platform (you can move things around). Keep everything lined up perfectly.
In at least 500 words, discuss the speech that you embedded above. You must choose the speech that was designated for your orator at the course website. You can use multiple sections to do this or you can use one long section. It is up to you. In your 500 words, you must address the elements and issues from the worksheet, African American Oratory in the Legacy of Black Rhetoric, about your speech. Your prose should have at least one weblink (you can weblink a sentence or use a button). Your prose must incorporate at least one of the articles on the course website designated for your orator. It should be clear why this speech is so important. Make sure you read THE WHOLE THING! This section should close with a bibliography.
Create an image carousel OR embed CANVA/google slides at least once.
This carousel or slides should highlight your orator and/or the time in which they live.
