Privacy Policy for Oracle CPQ Transaction Log Parser
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy policy describes how the Transaction Log Parser Chrome extension handles data.
Summary
The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any user data. All file processing happens locally in your browser. No information is sent to any server operated by the publisher or by any third party.
1. What data the Extension accesses
When you drop a ZIP file into the Extension's popup, the Extension reads the ZIP and the XML file inside it into your browser's memory. It scans the XML for <change_item> tags and extracts three attribute values (action_name, change_date, and user_login) from each tag. The extracted data is displayed in a table within the popup, and can be downloaded as a CSV file to your computer.
The Extension only reads a file when you explicitly drop it into the popup or select it via the file browser. It does not read files from your device automatically.
2. What the Extension does not do
The Extension does not:
Send any data to a remote server.
Store any data in browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies, IndexedDB, or extension storage).
Retain data between sessions — once the popup closes, all processed data is discarded from memory.
Collect analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics.
Read or access any web page you visit.
Access your browser history, bookmarks, saved passwords, or other browser data.
Use any third-party analytics or advertising services.
3. Permissions
The Extension requests no special permissions beyond the standard permission required to display its toolbar popup. It has no access to browser tabs, page content, or web requests.
4. Third-party libraries
The Extension includes JSZip, an open-source library distributed under the MIT license, bundled directly with the Extension package. JSZip runs entirely within your browser and does not communicate with any external server. No other third-party services or libraries are used.
5. Data controllers and processors
Because the Extension does not collect data, there is no data controller or processor in the sense of the GDPR, CCPA, or similar legislation. Any file you process using the Extension remains under your own control at all times.
6. Children's privacy
The Extension is intended for use by business users in a professional context. It is not directed at children under 13, and no data is collected from any user regardless of age.
7. Changes to this policy
If the Extension's data handling behavior ever changes, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will change. Material changes will be reflected in a new version of the Extension published to the Chrome Web Store.
