Orange Park Ultrasound

Ultrasound Rotation

The focus of this EM ultrasound rotation is to provide as much hands-on ultrasound scanning as possible. We have daily lectures to discuss all of the core ultrasound topics, followed by scanning in the emergency department with an ultrasound faculty member. We also utilize our high fidelity ultrasound simulation trainer to practice techniques and to introduce learners to a wide range of pathology. During the rotation, we will cover basic bedside ultrasound skills as well as more advanced topics such as nerve blocks and transesophageal echo.

Family medicine residents: 2 weeks

PGY1 EM residents: 4 weeks during Anesthesia/US block

PGY2 EM residents: 1 week during OB/US block
