Knowledgeable in accreditation requirements and regulatory bodies, budgeting, academic program creation and modifications, digital technology, human resources, project management, distance learning, and hybrid learning integration. 

Shirley is a long-time community strategist, entrepreneur, and trainer. She is skilled in creating community partnerships and fundraising for nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Shirley Sims holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology with a minor in political science from the University of South Florida,  a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in governmental contracting and nonprofit management from Troy University and a Doctorate of Education and Innovation from St. Thomas University. Dr. Sims has been recognized for her devoted public service, philanthropy, and leadership.
