Ph. D. Positions:
We welcome highly motivated students with a strong foundation in applied mathematics, particularly in areas such as ordinary and partial differential equations, numerical analysis, and fluid mechanics. The selection process will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) admission rules and regulations. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, and preference will be given to those who have qualified for CSIR/UGC-JRF. Students passionate about research in mathematical modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and machine learning applications in thermal sciences are encouraged to apply.
M. Sc. Students:
M.Sc. (Mathematics) students of the School of Physical Sciences (SPS) who are interested in pursuing higher studies in applied mathematics are welcome to undertake their Master’s thesis in this research group. Areas of focus include mathematical modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and machine learning applications in thermal sciences. Students with a strong analytical background and a keen interest in interdisciplinary research are especially encouraged to apply.
M.Sc. (Mathematics) 1st-year students can also apply for the summer internship.
Note: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will not provide any financial support for the Master’s thesis. Selected candidates will be required to make their own arrangements for accommodation and related expenses in Delhi.
