The OPHS Speech and Debate offers students the opportunity to learn from their fellow students the craft of Speech and Debate. In Debate classes, students learn how to research, write and argue BOTH sides of a topic. In Speech classes, writing and performance techniques are the focus.
In ALL classes, our students make great friends, work hard and learn valuable speaking skills that will last a lifetime. Above all, we value teamwork. Our work ethic is rigorous, but we always lead with kindness and grace.
