I am a french 3rd year PhD student in marine ecology. My PhD thesis focuses on the planktonic ecosystems in the open-ocean and aims to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of external factors, such as the environmental conditions and the circulation features, on organisms at different biological scales. I am trying to couple the integration of omics, imaging and oceanographic data and the use of numerical tools (statistics, multivariate analyses, machine learning), graphs and bioinformatics to study structuring and functioning of the planktonic ecosystems.
I am member of the COMPLEx team (Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche, LOV) which is specialized in the ecology of the marine plankton (see more here). Its research is based on the use of numerical and imaging tools, as well as experimental approaches. I am also in close interaction with the ABI team (Institut de Systématique Évolution Biodiversité, ISYEB) whose research activities are at the interface of biology, computer science and mathematics (see more here).

Since 2018, I am involved in the first year courses of the Master of Oceanography and Marine Sciences (Sorbonne Université, see more here).
Diversity and Ecology of the Mediterranean Marine Organisms (~ 16h)
Functioning of the Mediterranean Marine Ecosystems (~ 17h)
These courses also implies student supervision during work at sea.
Although my research activities include exclusively computational and numerical processing, I enjoy working in the field. In fact, I have participated in two major oceanographic campaigns during which I was actively involved in data acquisition.
2018: Tara Pacific expedition - Atlantic transect from Boston to Lorient.
2016: OISO25 on the R/V Marion Dufresne.
In addition, my interest is not limited to the marine environment, as I have been involved in collecting terrestrial data on plant-pollinator interactions and their analysis.
