Concepts and principles of intra-coronal tooth preparation.
Operative Dentistry 1 is a basic dental education course that focuses on the concepts and principles of tooth preparation in repairing carious and damaged teeth. It covers up the proper design and preparation of different classifications of cavities. It also includes the study, diagnosis, prevention and management of carious diseases of the teeth and non-carious lesions. It also includes the familiarization of the instruments and materials used in preparing a tooth, operating positions and control of operative field.
The Laboratory covers the clinical application of the course. It integrates the practical application of the principles of cavity design and tooth preparation.
