Our GoFundMe updates.

Hey all,
We want to take a moment to thank you all for the incredible support so far. Together, you’ve helped raise $9,340 in the last few days.
That said, we still have a long way to go. To secure the next six months of rent, we need to raise $29,660 more by the end of October. This amount will ensure rent stability and allow us to focus fully on the work ahead without the constant fear of losing the camp space.
Your generosity has already carried us this far, and we’re deeply grateful. If you’re able to share the fundraiser or contribute again, it will bring us closer to reaching this urgent goal.

Hey All,
We want to share an important update about the future of the perinatal encampment that we built with our partners PAL Humanity in July 2024 and have been fully sponsoring since.
A few weeks ago, Camp Olive Land was forced to evacuate from the original location that they had been at for over a year. The OOB community aka YOU mobilized a temporary and necessary increase in funding to support the residents in safely evacuating together and building a new camp.
Unfortunately the new landlord has refused to honor his agreement with the camp administration and is now doubling the rent, though we have already paid through October. Meanwhile, the former landlord has offered to welcome the camp back at the old rate—something very rare given that most landlords have doubled prices due to the current mass displacement.
As a small crowdfunded nonprofit, we must be transparent: we cannot afford this suprise increase in rent while continuing to fully sponsoring the camp. The last relocation drained our funds, and we invested everything based on the promise of a stable annual lease.
We are currently holding a poll in the camp WhatsApp group to make sure every family’s voice is heard. So far it’s unanimous, that would prefer to remain at the new location even if all OOB can continue sponsoring is the rent - we fully intend to respect their decision.
Costs become unfathomable, Israel continues to close borders and restrict aid, the rent has doubled, and the current mass displacement crisis has effectively doubled the population of the camp. Because of this, we can no longer commit to fully sponsoring all the camp needs unless we raise enough each month to cover those costs.
To be completely transparent, the new landlord is demanding the full term upfront so 18K for 3 months, 36K for 6 months or 72K for a year - whichever we can raise in the next few weeks.
While we recognize that most organizations consider "camp sponsorship" to be just paying the land rent and the initial build, we aren't most organizations and most of the families in this encampment have absolutely no access to any income of any kind so this has never been an option for us. And now our options have run out.
What we can promise is to continue supporting the land rent until funds run out. If donations increase again, we will resume full sponsorship, including stipends, infrastructure, and aid distribution.
Every contribution truly matters in keeping Camp Olive Land families safe and sheltered. Thank you for standing with us in this difficult moment.
If you haven’t visited the camp page on IG to see the miracles you’ve manifested over the last year, please do so now.

Greetings all,
First, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to reach our initial goal and continue offering critical support to families in the camp. Your kindness is making a real difference every single day.
But as of today, we’re facing a rapid and urgent expansion of our efforts.
Due to a new wave of displacement caused by ongoing violence, dozens of families from the North—who had previously left the camp—are now reaching out to the camp administration, asking to return. We are preparing to welcome them back, but this unexpected emergency requires us to quickly scale up our food, shelter, and community programming.
We need your continued support to make this possible and to lead with dignity.
Today’s Updates from the Camp:
1. Youth Awareness Sessions
Saving The Youth Future visited the camp and held sessions for kids under 18, focusing on education and the dangers of war remnants — helping equip them with knowledge and safety tools.
2. Community Kitchen (Takiya)
Two large pots of rice were cooked today, not only feeding families inside the camp but also reaching those in surrounding areas. As need grows, so must our kitchen.
3. Amani’s Pastry & Pie Initiative
We’ve partnered with the Voshal Initiative to use their baking ovens for tomorrow’s big day. The camp administration also provided 50 kilos of firewood, and several women from the camp will be leading the baking efforts — a beautiful act of resilience and community care.
We are mobilizing as fast as we can, but with more families returning by the day, this is becoming an emergency expansion effort. Please, if you’re able, continue to support or share. Every single donation helps us meet this moment with compassion and action.
With deep gratitude and urgency,
OOB

August Perinatal Project Update:
YOU sent $108K to Gaza this month!
8K to PAL Humanity for North Gaza
14K to Amani for the rest of Gaza
20K for food budget at Camp Olive Land
8K Camp expenses
(50K just sent still unspent, much allocated to Camp needs as they are expanding with active displacement - so please rally around them)
For the 2nd month in a row our partners and friends, Drs Nagham and Nour of PAL Humanity were able to supply the NICU of Al Shifa Hospital in North Gaza with 100 cans of formula.
After almost 2 years of G side, even the hospitals are reliant on direct aid, we must help the helpers.
With a majority of the population in stage 5 famine, and tens of thousands of babies at risk of succumbing to starvation over the next few days, the Perinatal Project is shifting from a public distribution model to a support role for hospitals and clinics.
As a solidarity nonprofit, we defer to our partners on the ground for how to impact their communities equitably and they’ve all been clear that the best use of your funds and their efforts is in bolstering the baby formula access through the healthcare system. Without this, NICU babies will starve quietly in incubators, and we cannot let that happen.
In that vain, this month for the first time, Amani setup at the Shaikh Ridwan clinic to distribute formula directly to mothers during an infant vaccination drive. Unfortunately most of the babies were malnourished as starving mothers cannot lactate. With your support, as prices decrease, we hope to be able to offer more than one can per baby as well as diapers and sanitary pads once they become available. This month, your support reached 216 babies at the clinic.
As always, we continue to support the perinatal encampment Ard Al Zaytoon as we have since it was established in July of 2024. Amani distributed 1200 grams of formula per baby and provided 2 kilos of flour and 1 kilo of lentils per person.
Please support Amani’s personal campaign: https://gofund.me/5d73e863
To support our other partners, initiatives, and operations please consider becoming a subscriber to our BMAC
And again THANK YOU for making all of this possible

Quick Update GREAT News!
TODAY Amani delivered the aid YOU made possible to Camp Olive Land (video attached)
Due to Israel’s criminal blockade on Gaza, Amani’s team had to source these supplies from across the strip at extortive rates including a 50% cashing fee
$10,000 provided:
* 3 cans of formula per baby (1200 grams)
* 2 kilos of flour per person
* 1 kilo of lentils per person
Please note that babies either receive three 400 gram cans or one 400 gram can + one 800 gram can = 1200 grams
With active gun fire near the camp, and the occupation moving into the area, we are inspired yet again by Amani’s heroism in choosing to risk her safety to bring this support to the residents of Ard Al Zaytoon.
The camp chat on WhatsApp has been active all day with gratitude for Amani, the Camp Administration and YOU, the OOB Community for a year of consistent support during absolute chaos.
We are humbled by your trust and honored to be in community with you all

Hi all,
We wanted to provide you with a brief update for Camp Ard Al Zaytoon. As always, we are in awe and incredibly thankful to the Camp Admins for their work, and we are also grateful to every single one of you who makes any of this possible.
This week, internet is being installed at the camp. This is a vital step toward restoring connection, access to education, and communication for displaced families.
We’re also excited to share that Jad Optics Center organized a vision screening and glasses fitting session for camp residents.
Please continue to share and support—every dollar helps us expand and preserve dignity for families who’ve lost so much.
As always, follow our social media for daily updates as well.

We sent $50K to the Perinatal Project this week including Camp Olive Land
20K for food at Camp
13K for formula distribution
The rest is for Camp expenses and to cover the exorbitant fees on cash purchases
We’ve attached the evacuation video that our Camp Videographer sent us as soon as they got wifi at the new location. We recognize it’s longer than most of our attention spans but we would never consider editing their own documentation of their own displacement.
Please follow us on social media for DAILY updates
More about Camp:
After a year of relative “stability” during a literal Geno, Ard Al Zaytoon was forced to evacuate under active bombardment and pew pews.
While other camps in the area disbanded, this camp, because its perinatal and disability focused, stayed together to make sure no one was left behind (not even the puppy). They used your donations wisely to rent expensive trucks and purchase priceless gasoline to move the entire camp, assets rendered irreplaceable by the blockade, and a dozen local families they had grown to consider neighbors who had nowhere else to go.
On the second day, devoted to retrieving assets, our camp administrators and a group of men from the camp were trapped for hours as tanks and gunfire surrounded them.
We are BLESSED and grateful that everyone was safely relocated to the new land.
We’re proud of the team for recognizing that we were on borrowed time at the original location since it had been quiet for so long; this meant we had already started sourcing alternative locations and had somewhere to go.
The elected Camp Administration has been hard at work securing water trucks, setting up access to wifi, negotiating with the new landlord, digging out and rebuilding the bathrooms (which include handicap accessible bathrooms specifically for those who need them) and much more. Unfortunately, they have moved from a far less populated rural area to a highly populated urban area and there is NOTHING on the market, certainly not enough volume to purchase food for the 190 people who remain at the camp now. So our partner Amani has deployed her team to source flour and lentils in whatever quantities available to collect enough for everyone.
Average quotes are $400 for a 25 kilo bag of flour (including cashing fees). $15 kilo of lentils and $67 per can of formula (pre 50% cashing fee).
The new landlord has been very helpful and even though it costs more monthly than the last location, he has agreed to accept 2 months via bank (no fees) with the 3rd month in cash (plus fees) - we pay 3 months at a time. This saves the camp budget THOUSANDS in fees. Rent is currently 3K a month for 7 donoms.
We are humbled by your trust this year, because it is this community that asked “what can we do to help” and innovated the first crowdfunded encampment of its kind.
We hope that you respond as we do, reinvigorated yet again, by the heroic moral courage of the Palestinians and ready to rebuild. But, whatever you do, remember: the LEAST we can do is EVERYTHING we can

UPDATE on the Perinatal Project
Firstly, we are overwhelmed by your support over the last 24 hours in response to the Camp’s Emergency Evacuation. Y’all came through with 7K in a single day and this has revitalized our team and our Partners in Gaza.
In 2024, this community raised an average of $100K a month for Gaza which allowed for rapid expansion of the Perinatal Project (serving 220 babies in November alone) and manifesting our Partners’ vision to build a perinatal and disability focused encampment.
In 2025, this rapidly declined to 10K a month which led to scaling back our public distribution intiatives. Every penny from this GFM goes directly to Gaza, so we hope you will invite your friends and families to join you in crowdfunding compassion.
Onto the Perinatal Project. As many of you know, Amani is one of our original partners with this project and we are humbled and honored to be in community with her for a year and a half now.
At this stage, she is our primary partner with the Perinatal Project, without her none of this is possible. Not only does she handle a majority of public distribution (except for North Gaza which is handled by PAL Humanity), but she has been supporting Camp Olive Land, and their elected Camp Administration, since July of last year.
Amani will be delivering diapers and formula to the Camp at their new location as soon as the Camp Admins confirm it’s safe. But it has taken weeks for her to piece together supplies for public distribution and for the first time this has NOTHING to do with funding and EVERYTHING to do with the criminal and inhumane blockade on aid. 85% of Gaza has now reached Stage 5 of this manmade ethnic cleansing of a “famine” and if the borders do not open immediately there will be no redemption for humanity.
There are NO packs of diapers available. Amani is purchasing single diapers for $5 each (with a 50% cashing fee which brings the cost to $7.50 a piece). These are sold by starving families who are desperate to find formula and food.
Our hero who has fed her people for a year and a half during the unimaginable is skipping meals for days at a time herself due to lack of resources. We humbly ask that you support her and her family directly via their personal GFM which has only raised $110 this week HERE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-me-to-scape-death-my-daughters-deserve-bette/
While this post is focused on Amani’s impact with the Perinatal Project, please don’t forget our partners PAL Humanity who returned to the North during the “ceasefire” and whose family home was targeted, martyring dozens of members.
This month, with your support, these sisters and doctors were able to supply their local NICU in North Gaza with $7K worth of formula as even the hospitals are now wholly reliant on mutual aid support.
All of our partners social media links are in the body of our GFM so please follow them directly (unfortunately links are often removed from our updates).
Every penny raised here goes directly to Gaza, but unless we all work together to end the Blockade, there will be no formula, food or diapers to distribute in the first place.
Please consider sharing our GFM with your community, making social media posts for our initiatives and partners, adding this link to your bio, organizing offline etc. Remember, the LEAST we can do is EVERYTHING we can.
As always, we are deeply humbled by your trust and support as well as relieved and reinvigorated to have all of you beside us on the right side of History.

Hello all,
We want to share an important update about the camp. First and foremost, thank you deeply for your continued support—especially to our partners and camp administrators who have come together in unimaginable and horrific circumstances due to Israel’s continued starvation and genocide of the Palestinian people.
We’re incredibly relieved to share that everyone has safely evacuated to a relatively “safer” area.
However, the journey ahead requires us to rebuild—and we can’t do it without you. Immediate needs include bathrooms, a new well, a storage unit, and iron fencing, among other essentials.
We’re also hoping to set aside funds for the moment aid is allowed in, as well as for the small, prohibitively expensive aid that remains available.
As always, 100% of your donations go directly to Gaza when donating here. Your support makes this work possible—and we’re committed to continuing for as long as it takes.
With gratitude,
We’ll be sharing more updates soon.

Hey guys,
We have an urgent update from Camp Ard Al Zaytoon; they are being forced to evacuate and need your support more than ever to relocate and rebuild.
You all helped us build this perinatal and disability focused camp a year ago in July 2024, and we are beyond grateful to all of you. We hope you will continue to stand by them.
Currently the IOF is mere streets away from the camp and while they finished relocating the women and children yesterday morning (one truck at a time) some of the men are still there and now trapped.
Above all, we ask that you keep them in your hearts minds and prayers
We are NOT giving up on them. We will be supporting them through this horrific forced displacement. The camp isn’t over; it’s just unfortunately on the run, and they will need the funds to rebuild so PLEASE if you all have the funds we would appreciate anything you can give and if you do not have anything to give (because we are all struggling), please make your own video letting folks know what’s going on and tag us, add to your stories, repost, remix, talk to people in your communities, etc
Reminder here is an instagram link to the Camp that you can follow: https://www.instagram.com/campoliveland?igsh=d3AxdnVrY25penll

Hey guys!
We wanted to give a quick update.
Thanks to our incredible partners at Pal Humanity—and to each of you who donated—we were able to partially fund (in partnership with Pal Humanity) the delivery of desperately needed infant formula to the Alhelou Hospital NICU in Northern Gaza. These bottles aren’t just nutrition; they’re lifelines.
Today, one of the nurses shared a heartbreaking reality: there’s a sharp rise in malnutrition among newborns. With no formula on the shelves and no milk to be found, parents are left helpless. The cries of hungry babies echo through hospital halls as caregivers do all they can—but it’s simply not enough.
In a place where humanitarian access is nearly impossible and resources disappear by the hour, this kind of support is truly life-saving.
To everyone who gave: thank you. You may never meet these babies, but your compassion reached them at their most critical moment.

Hello all!
We wanted to update everyone. First and foremost, we want to thank every single one of you who have supported our efforts in Palestine. We also want to thank our amazing partners on the ground who continue to risk their lives every single day to distribute aid to those who need it.
As everyone knows the Madleen was boarded by the IOF and the 12 activist on board were abducted. Four have been released and eight are still being detained.
There is also a separate grassroots group called Soumoud trying to break the siege by land.
We must continue to show up so that those who have put their lives on the line to break the siege have not done so in vain.
To be incredibly blunt, food prices are astronomical. Flour is anywhere from $500-$750 a bag and cashing fees are up to 50%. This means that for roughly 42 families to have 1 bag of flour, it would cost over $30,000 including cost of flour and cashing fees. THIS, along with the continued physical violence, occupation, and apartheid of the Palestinian people, is why people are putting their lives on the line. We cannot forget this!
As for the update:
In April, we sent 52,550 to Pal Humanity and Amani to provide for the North of Gaza, Camp Ard Al Zaytoon, and to distribute diapers and formula
This month we have sent $20,000 to our partner Amani so that she can distribute diapers and formula, as well as provide for the camp. We have also sent 10,000 to Sulala for animal support.
We also thank the Swiss Friendship Camp for providing one pot
of rice and WCK for 4,000 liters of water yesterday.
Thank you all for everything and we will continue to do all we can.

Hello everyone!
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible partners on the ground who continue their vital work, and to you all for your unwavering support.
Israel has blocked aid from entering Gaza since March 2nd. This means no fuel, food, or medicine is reaching those in need, causing prices of the remaining supplies to skyrocket. For example, a single potato now costs $12 and flour is upwards of $400. Even amidst these extreme challenges, the dedicated camp admins at Camp Ard Al Zaytoon have been distributing bread, fresh vegetable baskets, drinking water, firewood, diapers and formula.
We are immensely grateful to these admins for their extraordinary efforts under these inhumane circumstances, and we deeply appreciate your continued support in making this possible.
Our partners Pal Humanity and Amani have also distributed diapers and formula to families across the strip, especially in the north of Gaza where conditions are extremely dire.
Thank you to all for helping us reach $1 million so we can continue to support the people of Gaza. Whether you’re a continuous donor, or you shared our link and shared our partners’ stories, none of this would be possible without you all.
Thank you all again, and as always, free Palestine.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of Haya Murtaja’s passing. After fighting for 12 days in a coma, she has left this world, leaving behind her two little daughters, ages 3 and 5.
Haya was a light in so many lives—her love for singing and voiceover work brought joy to those around her. She lived in Camp Ard Al Zaytoon—which you all help us sponsor through this GFM—in Gaza, where she faced unimaginable hardships with resilience and grace. She was the founder of the camp’s women’s council and spokesperson for the camp. Her loss is devastating, and our hearts are with her daughters, who now face a future without their mother’s love and warmth.
We are grateful for the support and kindness so many of you have shown. Please continue to keep Haya’s family in your thoughts and prayers. You can go directly to the link below to support her daughters—ensuring they are cared for in this incredibly difficult time.

Hello everyone,
We wanted to take a moment to share an update with you all.
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible partners on the ground who continue their vital work. We also sincerely thank each of you for your unwavering support.
Despite the so-called “ceasefire,” Israel has blocked aid from entering Gaza since March 2nd. This means no fuel, food, or medicine is reaching those in need, causing prices of the remaining supplies to skyrocket— for example, a single potato now costs $12.
Even amid these extreme challenges, the dedicated camp admins at Camp Ard Al Zaytoon have been distributing fresh vegetable aid baskets, including tomatoes, greens, and more. They have also provided essential supplies such as diapers, baby formula, and rice. Most recently, as of yesterday, they distributed food kits packed with critical necessities.
We are immensely grateful to these admins for their extraordinary efforts under relentless bombing, and we deeply appreciate your continued support in making this possible.

As we enter the sacred month of Ramadan, a time of reflection, generosity, and community, we at Operation Olive Branch are working tirelessly through our incredible partners to support displaced families in Gaza who are observing this holy month under unimaginable conditions.
For many, iftar and suhoor will not be the meals they once knew—tables filled with love and abundance—but rather, a daily struggle to find food, clean water, and shelter. Families in Camp Ard Al Zaytoon continue to endure life in makeshift tents, facing critical shortages of food, medical care, and essential supplies.
With your support, we are providing:
• Hot suhoor & iftar meals for families breaking their fast in hardship
• Food kits packed with essential nutrients
• Formula & diapers for babies who have no other source of nourishment
• Water & hygiene supplies to prevent disease and ensure health
We sent $15,300 to Amani and Pal.Humanity to continue aid distribution—food, diapers, formula.
We sent $31,524 to the Camp Admins to stock up on meals for Ramadan—as well as to ensure the storage unit is stocked up, and the camp has other necessary supplies.
Every dollar you give brings relief to those fasting with empty stomachs and heavy hearts. Your generosity ensures that families in Gaza can observe Ramadan with warmth, dignity, and hope.
None of this would be possible without the incredible individuals leading relief efforts on the ground—Dr. Nagham & Dr. Noor of Pal. Humanity, Amani Alkahlout of Amani’s Kitchen, and Bisan Owda of Ele Elna Elak—as well as every single one of you who continues to give and uplift our mission.
Please donate, share, and keep Gaza in your prayers. Together, we can make a difference.

Hey All,
We want to provide an important update on the situation at the camp.
In recent days, extreme weather conditions—including winds exceeding 62 mph—have caused severe damage. Many tents and bathrooms have been completely destroyed, leaving families even more vulnerable to the freezing temperatures.
We are working urgently to repair and replace what has been lost, but we need your support. Please consider contributing and sharing with your friends and family. Every dollar raised through our GoFundMe goes directly toward aid in Palestine.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and for our incredible partners on the ground who make this work possible.
With gratitude,
OOB

Hey everyone!
Apologies for the delay in updates, and Happy New Year!
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support and share some updates from December and January.
In December, we sent $36,240.69 to our incredible partner Pal.Humanity. These funds were used to winterize the camp, provide the admins with petty cash to stock up the storage unit with essential supplies, pay the camp admins for their outstanding work, and cover the cashing fee to transfer the funds into Gaza.
Additionally, we sent $15,000 to our amazing partner Amani. This covered 92 packs of diapers, 140 cans of formula, and 50 food kits, along with partner support, delivery fees, and the cashing fee to get the funds into Gaza.
In January, we sent $40,000 to Amani. Of this, $5,000 was allocated for diapers and formula, another $5,000 for 50 food and hygiene kits, and her cashing fees. The remaining funds are earmarked for camp admin salaries, including the cleaner, admins, videographer, security guard, two months of land rent, and petty cash for the admins to keep the storage unit stocked.
We’re also excited to share that the Egyptian Committee recently visited the camp to distribute bread to families, in partnership with Amani and the camp admins. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nxa3FUF9uqw
Additionally, Zayn, a valued member of the Perinatal Project, has encountered some challenges with his designated beneficiary being unresponsive for several months. While we had hoped for a resolution, we’ve unfortunately been unable to engage with him or his initiative during this time.
To uphold our commitment to donor transparency and accountability, we’ve made the difficult decision to remove this initiative for now. This decision does not reflect any concerns with our partnership with Zayn, but rather stems from the lack of communication from his beneficiary. We remain hopeful that we can collaborate with Zayn again in the future.
Thank you all again for making this possible!

Hello All,
We’re excited to share some wonderful updates from the OOB x Pal Family Encampment! Thanks to your continued generosity and support and our phenomenal partners on the ground, significant strides have been made in improving the lives of the families we serve.
Camp Elections
For the first time, camp elections were held. This was a powerful moment for the families, centering their voices in choosing community leaders who will represent their needs and help shape the future of the encampment. It’s a step toward fostering autonomy, leadership, and community within the camp.
Pajama & Coat Distribution
This week, with the help of the Zakat, cozy pajamas and winter coats were distributed to the children in the camp! Seeing their smiles as they received warm, new clothing was a beautiful reminder of why we do this work. These small acts of kindness provide comfort and warmth during unpredictable and unprecedented times.
️ Building a Storage Unit for Sustainability
There was also the buying and building of a storage unit to securely store essential supplies for the camp. This is a critical step toward making the camp more sustainable, allowing us to better manage and distribute aid as efficiently as possible. With this storage unit, vital items like blankets, food, and clothing, can be stockpiled, ensuring the community’s needs are met.
As the camp continues to grow and improve, your support remains invaluable. Every donation means the camp is closer to creating a sustainable, dignified, and empowered community for these families.
Thank you for standing with us in this mission. This could not be done without all of you and the amazing partners on the ground.
Nov 08, 2024
Hello All,
We wanted to share an update on our recent activities. We are deeply grateful to our incredible partners on the ground, who risk their lives to provide critical aid, and to all of you. Without your solidarity, we couldn’t fund our Direct Aid Initiatives. Thank you sincerely for your support.
Here’s a breakdown of the funds sent to Gaza for November and how they’ve been allocated. Due to closed borders and limited aid access, the cost of essentials has surged: food prices by 176%, formula by 150%, and diapers by 708%. To put this in perspective, a $20 pack of diapers could now cost up to $161.60. We buy in bulk to secure better pricing, but these price hikes impact our expenses significantly.
• Total funds sent for November: $101,712
• Diapers: $20,016 for 600 packs
• Formula: $21,684 for 1,300 cans
• Storage room construction: $2,354.18
• Food baskets: $7,300 for 100 baskets
• Veggie baskets: $5,100 for 100 baskets
• Hygiene kits: $4,500 for 100 kits
• Friday Camp Meal by Amani: $1,200
• Blankets: $655 for families moving into the camp
• Fuel for deliveries: $500 for Amani’s transport
• Partner support & delivery staff payment: $2,000
• Petty cash for essentials: $1,000 for Amani
• Additional water tank construction: $2,644.86
• Solar technician: $349.44
• Bus transport: $403.20
• Security: $134.40
• Footwear (crocs) for camp residents: $3,766
• Petty cash: $1,000 to Amani for essential supplies for families
• Formula: $2,677 to Amani
We remain committed to supporting the people in Palestine as long as our community stands with us. Thank you for your ongoing solidarity, and we’ll update you again soon.
Oct 25, 2024
Hello Everyone,
We at Operation Olive Branch (OOB) wanted to share an update on the progress of our direct aid initiatives. But before we dive in, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you and to our partners on the ground who risk their lives daily. None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you.
Here’s what we’ve accomplished last month in September:
•We sent $6,800 to our partner, Dr. Zayn Khalil, to deliver and distribute diapers, formula, and vitamins to families in need through our Milk Project.
•We provided $14,626 to our partner, Amani, to distribute food aid baskets, purchase and distribute diapers and formula, and supply hygiene kits to families in need.
•We allocated $14,880 to our partners at Pal Humanity for purchasing containers for the school under construction, as well as for diapers to be distributed at the Family Encampment.
•All amount includes the cashing fee required to transfer funds into Gaza•
Here’s what we’ve accomplished this month in October:
• We sent $10,594 to our partner Amani to distribute diapers and formula to families in need, particularly as market prices soar. Additionally, we provided $5,500 for Amani to source and purchase blankets for distribution at the OOB x Pal Camp. With winter approaching, it’s crucial that families are prepared. We also sent $3,650 for food baskets to support families who cannot afford to buy their own food due to skyrocketing prices.
• Our partners at Pal.Humanity received $19,322.20 to help sustain the camp. These funds supported winterization efforts—such as providing sandbags for tent elevation, trenching, and tarping—as well as paying the land rent through 2025. We also used these funds to distribute hygiene kits and pay camp staff (cleaners, security, and our videographer).
• We sent $2,889.76 to provide 4 unique and nutritious Friday Tekia meals at the Encampment, along with $5,314 for formula distribution.
•All amounts include the fee required to transfer cash into Gaza.•
We remain committed to doing everything we can, and it’s all thanks to your continued support.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens, your unwavering support has become more essential than ever. With winter closing in and humanitarian corridors still shut, the people of Gaza face an even graver struggle for survival. The basic necessities of life—shelter, warmth, food, and medical care—are now more scarce than they were last October. Families are enduring unimaginable hardships, and together, we must act swiftly to bring them the relief they so desperately need.
Winter in Gaza
The bitter cold months ahead will turn an already dire situation into a fight for survival, particularly for those without proper shelter. Families need warmth, protection, and vital resources to make it through. Our immediate goal is to ensure that they have what they need to survive this harsh season.
Limited Access to Aid
With humanitarian corridors remaining closed, access to critical supplies is severely restricted. But our encampment is designed to be a lifeline. They provide access to clean water, food, electricity, WiFi, and essential medical services. These camps are a beacon of hope for families cut off from aid, providing them with the means to endure.
Sustainable Living
The Operation Olive Branch x Pal. Humanity camp is built with care, adhering to international standards for sanitation while respecting the dignity and cultural values of the people we serve. From water-efficient bidets to sustainable latrine systems that protect groundwater, we are committed to creating safe, simple, and sustainable living environments that preserve health and honor tradition.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Aid Delivery
Our vision for the future is clear. With your support, we will not only expand and winterize the existing camp but also work to establish multiple encampments across Gaza. Together with our partners at, we are streamlining aid delivery, ensuring it reaches those who need it most—quickly, efficiently, and with care.
In these times of unprecedented crisis, we are deeply grateful for your compassion and solidarity. Every donation, every gesture of support, helps us bring vital aid to families in desperate need.
Thank you for standing with the people of Gaza and for your continued commitment to justice and humanity.

Hello everyone,
We wanted to take the opportunity to provide a more detailed update on the progress and activities at the Family Encampment, as well as the various direct aid initiatives we’ve been working on. We deeply appreciate your continued support, and it's because of this incredible community that we're able to make a tangible difference in the lives of so many.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Your dedication and compassion keep us going, and we are beyond grateful for the strong network of individuals who stand with us and the families we serve.
Now, to share some recent developments:
- Pal.Humanity, one of our close partners, was able to source and distribute mattresses to families in the camp. This is a significant accomplishment, as many families had been sleeping on hard surfaces without adequate bedding. These mattresses provide a much-needed level of comfort and make the living conditions in the camp just a bit more bearable, especially for families with young children and the elderly.
- We were thrilled to welcome the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) to the camp recently. They came to distribute essential supplies like diapers and baby formula, which are critical for the health and well-being of infants and toddlers. The importance of these supplies cannot be overstated, especially given the ongoing shortages and the difficulties families face in accessing even the most basic necessities. PCRF’s efforts have brought relief to many struggling parents in the camp.
- Amani from Amani’s Kitchen continues to be a lifeline for the families. She visited the camp again, this time with food aid baskets, which were distributed to families in need. These baskets contained staples and nutritious items that will help sustain the families for the coming weeks. Amani’s consistent commitment to feeding and supporting displaced individuals through her weekly visits is both inspiring and deeply impactful. She not only provides food but also brings hope and a sense of care to those who need it most.
Both Amani and Zayn delivered formula and diapers to those outside of the encampment and Amani also continues delivering food and hygiene kits from Deir Al Ballah to Khan Younis through your support.
- In the midst of all these challenges, there have been moments of joy, particularly for the children in the camp. Recently, they took part in a lively game of musical chairs, filling the air with laughter and excitement. These moments, though brief, are a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit, especially in children, who continue to find ways to play and smile despite the adversity surrounding them.
We are constantly humbled by the strength and perseverance of the families in the camp, and it is through your continued support that we’re able to provide them with these essential resources. We have more work ahead of us, and we are determined to keep pushing forward, hand-in-hand with all of you.
Thank you again for standing with us and for your generosity in helping us sustain these vital efforts. We look forward to updating you on future developments and sharing more stories of hope and resilience from the Family Encampment.
P.S
It is incredibly sad that we let you all know Amani lost her mother. Please support her personal campaign and offer your condolences

We are endlessly grateful to our [email redacted]alout for creating and dispersing aid baskets to families who need it.
These baskets come with basic living necessities that are, unfortunately, sold at exorbitant prices on the market.
Operation Olive Branch is committed to ensuring Amani has the funds to continue to create and disperse these baskets to those who need them.
Please continue to support us so that we can help even more families, and make sure you check out Amani (@amani.alkahlout) on Instagram to stay up to date on what she’s doing.
If you have extra funds, please also support Amani’s personal campaign. She is doing phenomenal work.

On behalf of Operation Olive Branch (OOB), we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and UNRWA for their generous contribution of polio vaccines to the children at the OOB and Pal Humanity Encampment, provided through the Palestinian Ministry of Health. We are truly thankful for this vital support.
We encourage everyone to continue supporting our encampment and these outstanding organizations so that we can carry on providing essential aid to those who need it most.
Thank you!

Update:
Hello everyone!
We have some incredible updates to share with you. Thanks to your unwavering support, we were able to provide hot meals to families in the camp this past week, including pasta, chicken, and rice.
In collaboration with PCRF, @pal.humanity, and @operationolivebranch, we also distributed essential outerwear, hygiene baskets, and formula to the families. As winter approaches, we will need to ensure we are able to provide essential cold weather supplies.
None of this would be possible without your generosity. We are deeply grateful, and with your continued support, we can achieve even more.

**URGENT!!!**
We are not asking for money. We are asking you to bear witness as evacuation orders threaten our camp.
Below is a video of Haya in her tent, listening to gunfire while trying to keep her children calm. There’s also footage of Dr. Sanad surrounded by gunfire, unable to reach our camp. You all know Dr. Sanad—he works for World Central Kitchen, and his family runs our Milk Project.
You’ll also see Daneia and Muhammad. Today is Muhammad’s birthday, and they can’t even celebrate in peace.
Please visit these families' Instagram accounts and show your support. Let them know they are not just numbers.
Our camp can be rebuilt and replaced. The lives of these families cannot.

Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for supporting us so far. We are immensely grateful to you.
Thanks to your contributions, we've been able to add shadowbans (tarps) to our encampment in collaboration with Pal Humanity, and we now have lights!
Additionally, Dr. Zayn's Milk Project has helped 23 families by delivering 3 months worth of formula, 2 packs of diapers, and vitamins. With your continued support, we can assist even more families in accessing this lifesaving aid. Each delivery costs $575, covering diapers, formula, vitamins (if needed), transportation, and labor for those risking their lives to make these deliveries.
Please gift what you can and encourage your favorite brands, celebrities, and influencers to sponsor deliveries so we can continue to help.
We will keep helping those in need with your generous support. Thank you!

Hello and Happy Sunday, everyone!
Amani, one of our incredible partners, delivered fresh vegetables and fruits to the camp yesterday. We are deeply grateful for all that she does.
Please consider supporting Amani’s individual campaign as well. In addition to delivering fresh produce, she runs Amani’s Kitchen, an initiative that feeds hundreds of displaced and food-insecure individuals. She also provides aid baskets with food and vitamins to families in need. Despite her remarkable efforts, Amani has only raised $1,000 toward her evacuation. Let’s show our appreciation for Amani by contributing what we can.
Here is her Linktree, which includes her personal GoFundMe, Instagram, and TikTok: https://linktr.ee/amani.alkahlout?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=cb43e99d-39d8-4c04-87f1-05d521b1a11e
Thank you all for your support and love. We are endlessly grateful.

If you’d like to help us continue to accommodate families and expand, please consider gifting and spreading the word about what we are doing.
Cost Breakdown:
Monthly maintenance for the current 30 families should be about $30k;
$1000 per tent & $100 per person
Finalizing Tarps should be about $32k
Below is a snippet of a video of Daneia touring and moving into the camp. Please support her and all families on OOB.

Hello All!
First and foremost, we want to thank every single one of you for your amazing contributions. You all went above and beyond, and we will never be able to adequately express how grateful we all are.
That being said; at OOB we are committed to radical transparency and so, as we allow donations again, we want to give an update to past, current, and future donors.
The biggest and most exciting update is that Operation Olive Branch in collaboration with Pal Humanity are building, and soon finalizing, an Encampment for families in Gaza that will provide shelter, food, water, on site medical help, as well as several other necessities. In total, the Encampment should house about 300 people (30 families).
We have currently utilized about $117,000 of your support to build the camp, and we estimate monthly maintenance could be as high as $100 per person, which is $1,000 per tent or $30k a month total.
From there, in order to keep the camp running it will cost about $30k total monthly.
Along with the exciting news of the Encampment, Pal Humanity has opened 2 more Caravans and has continued to help many patients, as well as partnered with UNRWA. Amani has diligently continued to feed dozens upon dozens of Gazans with her food project.
Thank you all so much, again. We couldn’t do any of this without you all, and we will need you all to keep the projects running and, hopefully in time, expand to more projects.

Hello all,
We only asked you for $60,000, and y’all dropped about $300k so we are temporarily disabling donations while we get all funds distributed! Thank you for your mind blowing support!
Hold tight for BIG news on Phase 2: Coming Soon! We will be posting a new update in the next few days for transparency on our second round of aid distribution.
Partner Updates:
Bahrain Medical Aid will not be included in this fundraiser at any point, per GFM.
Introducing our new partner The Sameer Project who is providing much needed tents directly to our families. We have already sent them $49,000.

As this is a continuous fundraiser we’ve raised the goal and wanted to make sure to share a sneak peak of what your support of the helpers on the ground is doing for the families in the OOB Perinatal Project.
Please connect with us on all of our socials but more importantly PLEASE connect directly with and amplify our heroic partners as well as the families they support.

OOB has temporarily removed Bahrain Medical Aid as a Partner in this fundraiser until we can finalize vetting this nonprofit through GFM. Please continue to donate to them directly as they are actively supporting the OOB Perinatal Project as well as their broader community. They are line 15 on our Mutual Aid Tab.
