What does Alpha Stage mean?

Alpha Stage refers to an early web-development design stage where users are invited to participate in the design process by using the product in real contexts and providing feedback to the designers to influence the design. (This is in contrast to BETA testing, which refers to testing a mostly finished product to work out the bugs).

All content on Spiral Labs is unfinished, unofficial, subject to change, and possibly buggy. (You might even find some tpyos). This is an alpha-development test site that serves small groups of educators supporting our user-centered design approach. If the learning resources on this site prove successful, they may graduate to a permanent home on an official ministry website.
