Who is Stuti?
Stuti Viral Dave, known online as Stuti The Activist, was born on the sixteenth of July, 2014, in Kingsbury, London. Ever since she was a baby, she was taught to reduce, reuse, and recycle. When she was nearly two, Stuti proclaimed herself an animal activist and did all she could to protect her non-human neighbours. As she moved to her hometown of Mumbai and learned more about pollution and pollutants, Stuti started doing more. From donating regularly to animal shelters to hosting awareness sessions at public libraries and even helping out at Animal Birth Control (ABC) camps, this little toddler was on a mission and was not going to stop without making it clear. Stuti's passion for environmental conservation and animal welfare grew as she got older. That was when she learned about genderism. As you may have already guessed, Stuti began to advocate for women's rights, too. Almost in fifth grade, Stuti found out about fast fashion in a school project about SDG goals. Even though most of her classmates took it through one ear and let it out with the other, that presentation had moved Stuti. She started researching more and more about fast fashion and its impact on the environment and labour conditions. This sparked a new passion in her to raise awareness and promote sustainable fashion choices within her community. Stuti's commitment to global change continued to strengthen. She started Operation Greenstitch – it is not just an organisation; it's a mission, a way of living. Until now, Stuti has been able to organise several successful events and workshops to educate others about the importance of sustainable fashion choices. Through Operation Greenstitch, she aims to empower others to make mindful choices that positively impact animals, people, and the planet.
Stuti has written multiple books in the Emmie's Adventures series. Her books follow the adventures of a young girl named Emmie. She navigates through various challenges and learns that she has magical powers. Stuti is currently writing the Elemental Club series and It's Up To Us To Save The World – which will be out soon! Through her YouTube channel, Just The Tea With Stuti, and her blog, Stuti The Activist, Stuti lets the world know her messages. Stuti's stories are not only entertaining but also carry important messages about the environment and sustainability, along with some of her DIY recycling projects. In addition to activism, authoring successful stories, and creating inspiring content, Stuti promotes sustainability through her business, Stuti Stores. The motto itself is "Spreading Sustainability". Stuti says, "It's not really much – just a stall whenever there are functions!" The profit does come in, though, and I usually donate it to NGOs like Goonj." Stuti's most recent work was mailing in a completed petition to ban harmful chemical dyes and synthetic fabric and replace them with cloth recycling plants to the prime minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Additionally, she is writing a child-led play titled The Serpent's Curse, from which she will donate the money earned from ticket sales
Stuti's enthusiasm for school shines through in various ways. She says that she loves math, science, English, language, sports, dance, global perspectives, computer science, and most importantly, meeting new people and making friends! School is the place where she says her dreams take flight. She prioritises learning over activism, writing, selling products, and creating videos combined! Stuti also loves spending time with her older sister, Ditya Viral, who hosts the successful bedtime story and inspiring interviews podcast, Story Central. Together, they have heaps and heaps of fun. Stuti is also an avid reader. Her nose is always perched in a new book, and if she has nothing to read, she will read literally anything! Reading has ignited Stuti's creativity and imagination, driving her to craft her own stories and poems during her leisure hours.
