OpenAny — Offline File Viewer for Android

OpenAny is an offline file viewer for Android designed with privacy as a core principle.
OpenAny does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. The app does not require an account, does not use advertising or analytics services, and does not have access to the internet.
The files and information you use with OpenAny are intended to remain on your device.
OpenAny does not declare Android's INTERNET permission and is designed to operate without network access.
OpenAny does not:
Collect personal information.
Collect or transmit the contents of your files.
Upload your documents, photos, videos, PDFs, or other files.
Sell or share your personal information.
Use advertising SDKs.
Use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Require an account, registration, sign-in, or email address.
Use online tracking technologies.
Communicate with remote servers.
Automatically send crash reports or diagnostic information.
OpenAny does not automatically scan your device or browse your storage.
A file becomes available to OpenAny only when you explicitly provide access through Android, such as:
Selecting a file using Android's document picker.
Granting access to a folder through Android's folder-selection interface.
Choosing Open with from another application.
Sharing a file with OpenAny from another application.
Android controls these access mechanisms and provides OpenAny only with the file or folder access that you choose to grant.
OpenAny does not request general storage access permissions.
Although OpenAny does not collect information from you, the app may store certain information locally on your device to provide its features.
This information is stored in OpenAny's private application storage or cache and is not transmitted by OpenAny.

Some locally stored information, such as recent-file entries and reading positions, may contain file names and file locations. Thumbnail caches may contain small rendered previews of file contents.
This information is stored only to provide OpenAny's functionality. It is not uploaded or automatically shared with anyone.
OpenAny uses Android permissions related to media playback and notifications.

These permissions do not provide OpenAny with general access to your files or personal information.
OpenAny does not request the INTERNET permission.
If you decline notification permission, media playback can continue, although notification-based playback controls may not be available.
If OpenAny crashes, it may create a diagnostic report in the app's private cache.
The crash report may contain technical information such as:
Date and time of the crash.
OpenAny's version.
Android version.
Device manufacturer and model.
Name of the thread involved in the crash.
Technical stack trace.
OpenAny is designed not to include file names, file paths, or file contents in crash reports.
Crash reports are not automatically transmitted.
After a crash, OpenAny may offer you the option to share the report using Android's standard share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to share it.
You may decline the sharing action or delete the report from your device.
OpenAny does not automatically send information anywhere.
Information can leave your device only when you explicitly initiate an action, such as:
You choose another application to receive the file you are viewing.
You choose another application, such as a file manager or another compatible application, to handle or locate the file.
You explicitly choose an application through Android's share sheet to share a crash report.
These actions are initiated by you and are handled through Android and the application you select.
Once information is transferred to another application, that application's privacy policy applies. OpenAny does not control how another application handles information you choose to share with it.
OpenAny does not use third-party services for:
Advertising.
Analytics.
User tracking.
Cloud storage.
Online synchronization.
Remote file storage.
Automatic crash-report uploads.
User accounts or authentication.
Collecting personal information.
OpenAny is designed to operate offline and does not require an internet connection.
OpenAny does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
The app does not require accounts, registration, messaging, advertising, or online services and is designed to operate offline.
You can delete information stored by OpenAny on your device at any time.
You can remove individual files from the recent-files list or remove a folder access grant from within the app.
You can use:
Android Settings → Apps → OpenAny → Storage → Clear storage
This removes OpenAny's locally stored application data.
Uninstalling OpenAny removes the app and its private application data from your device.
Because OpenAny does not transmit information to servers, there is no OpenAny server-side copy of your data and no OpenAny account that needs to be closed.
OpenAny is designed around an offline architecture.
The app does not have internet access and therefore cannot use a network connection to upload your files, personal information, analytics data, or crash reports.
Information stored by OpenAny remains within the app's private Android storage unless you explicitly use an Android sharing or file-transfer action.
We may update this Privacy Policy if OpenAny's functionality, permissions, or privacy practices change.
When this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
Any significant change affecting the collection, storage, or transmission of information will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
