There are many mysterious objects beyond our solar system, and planets are more common than you might think. An exoplanet is a planet outside our solar system that orbits its own star. So far, there are over 6,000 confirmed exoplanets, and there is probably a lot more out there! Exoplanets come in many shapes and sizes, some are similar to Jupiter, some are similar to Uranus or Neptune, and some are similar to Earth.
One of the most famous exoplanets is Kepler-452b, an exoplanet similar to Earth and has the potential to be habitable. However this does not mean that it is confirmed that Kepler-452b can sustain life. Astronomers believe there is a chance that liquid water may exist on the planet. If you were given the chance to explore or live outside the solar system, would you?
