Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs, pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

But I don't understand who are even asking firefox to do this unnecessary, inconvenient changes. We are really happy with the downloading manager. These recent updates are always having such issues! Not everyone will know how to change these settings! They will simply switch to other browsers. Mozilla should take user feedbacks into account. I have been complaining about different issues every month nowadays.

Open Pdf Instead Of Download Firefox

Download File 🔥 https://urlgoal.com/2y4CvJ 🔥

then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named user.js (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

When I used to select "open with firefox" from the menu when downloading a pdf, the pdf would open in a new tab saved as a temporary file. Now firefox seems to be downloading the files to my hard drive and opening that file instead. Has anyone noticed this problem? Were you able to fix it? Ver. 98.01 btw

Firefox has a built in PDF viewer that can open a PDF document for you without saving and I believe it is enabled by default, but if you are trying to open some other formats, I am afraid you would require some addons.

After going through several already-answered questions on AskUbuntu and Unix's stackexchange, Firefox's "Open containing folder" option (when a file is downloaded) still opens folder in Thunar File Manager, even though my default file manager is Nautilus. (However, it's Nautilus that's opened when prompted to save a file, for example, meaning, I guess, that Firefox is somehow aware that Nautilus exists.) I'm on XFCE (Ubuntu 22) so I can't uninstall Thunar without causing core problems (already tried that).

When I keep it on, all the pop windows(Using javascript "window.open" function opened) opened in a new tab, which I realy need opened in a pop window(With settings like "menubar=no" and etc.). Some normal links with "target="_blank" attribute will open in new window if I keep it off.

I was having the same exact problem, but only with Firefox (3.*+) after a certain date and only on my Mac (Windows machines worked fine). Finally, I used the guest account on my Mac and saw that Firefox worked properly, so I tried disabling all extensions, to no avail. Finally, I manually searched through the about:config properties for anything that looked suspicious or non-default. As it turns out, I think I must have installed an extension that tweaked the browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction property to 0 (instead of the default of 2) - once I changed it back, all was well. See the following for a thorough explanation of this property - which seems to be unexposed through Firefox's other tab/popup/window UI options:

If you have chosen to open pages in new tabs, Firefox will ignore this optionpreference and will open a new window from a link if the page author specified that the new window should have a specific size, because some pages can only be displayed correctly at a specific size.

I am using Firefox 98.0.2 (64-bit) and in older versions of Firefox, I used to be able to do this by selecting "open" instead of "save as". In a recent update, that dialog went away and I don't see a way to restore it. Now, instead, I have to save the files somewhere manually and then remember to delete them later (or manually navigate to temp, which is approximately as annoying).

How to I get the download button of the Firefox Built-In PDF Viewer to give the option of opening with Adobe Reader again? Is this a Firefox issue or a Windows issue? I suspect this is a Windows issue somehow, but I thought I would ask anyway.

I'm having a similar issue. I download multiple files per day just to use one page of the PDF I'm viewing in Firefox (preferred browser). To download each file, open, pull one page, then delete said file, is very cumbersome. I tried the...

In recent releases of IE, Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, and latest Citrix Workspace App clients many of the issues mentioned below have been resolved.

By default, the OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) should automatically set how to open ".ica" files when trying to launch any resource via Citrix Workspace or Citrix Storefront via the Web Store if the Citrix Workspace App is installed properly.

Confirm Citrix Workspace App is installed or use Citrix Workspace App for HTML5 ("Web Browser" option) instead.

If you continue to encounter this behavior please review the steps outlined below.

When clicking on an application or desktop to launch via Citrix Workspace or Citrix Storefront on an Internet Browser (not within Citrix Workspace App) and an ".ica" file shows in the download bar on the bottom left please follow these steps to automatically open said file:

ICA file is downloaded during the process. After the ICA file is downloaded, enable the browser to open similar files automatically.

Note: Instructions below are similar for other OS's when using Google Chrome, Firefox, or Edge Browsers.

If the browser successfully opens the new browsing context, a WindowProxy object is returned. The returned reference can be used to access properties and methods of the new context as long as it complies with the same-origin policy security requirements.

The Window interface's open() method takes a URL as a parameter, and loads the resource it identifies into a new or existing tab or window. The target parameter determines which window or tab to load the resource into, and the windowFeatures parameter can be used to control to open a new popup with minimal UI features and control its size and position.

Remote URLs won't load immediately. When window.open() returns, the window always contains about:blank. The actual fetching of the URL is deferred and starts after the current script block finishes executing. The window creation and the loading of the referenced resource are done asynchronously.

Modern browsers have strict popup blocker policies. Popup windows must be opened in direct response to user input, and a separate user gesture event is required for each Window.open() call. This prevents sites from spamming users with lots of windows. However, this poses an issue for multi-window applications. To work around this limitation, you can design your applications to:

In some cases, JavaScript is disabled or unavailable and window.open() will not work. Instead of solely relying on the presence of this feature, we can provide an alternative solution so that the site or application still functions.

If JavaScript support is disabled or non-existent, then the user agent will create a secondary window accordingly or will render the referenced resource according to its handling of the target attribute. The goal and the idea are to provide (and not impose) to the user a way to open the referenced resource.

The above code solves a few usability problems related to links opening popups. The purpose of the event.preventDefault() in the code is to cancel the default action of the link: if the event listener for click is executed, then there is no need to execute the default action of the link. But if JavaScript support is disabled or non-existent on the user's browser, then the event listener for click is ignored, and the browser loads the referenced resource in the target frame or window that has the name "WikipediaWindowName". If no frame nor window has the name "WikipediaWindowName", then the browser will create a new window and name it "WikipediaWindowName".

These bogus href values cause unexpected behavior when copying/dragging links, opening links in a new tab/window, bookmarking, or when JavaScript is loading, errors, or is disabled. They also convey incorrect semantics to assistive technologies, like screen readers.

When extreme changes in context are explicitly identified before they occur, then the users can determine if they wish to proceed or so they can be prepared for the change: not only they will not be confused or feel disoriented, but more experienced users can better decide how to open such links (in a new window or not, in the same window, in a new tab or not, in "background" or not). e24fc04721
