Open Education for the future: challenges in the digital era

Education and training are the best investments in Europe’s future. They play a vital role in boosting growth, innovation and job creation. Changes have been accomplished and national educational systems are progressing in a desired direction, with accent on Digital technologies in education.
Romania is advancing in this area, based on the country’s tradition in ICT domain. Major public financed projects that include digital technologies - from Wi-Fi national infrastructure to open educational resources, training the teachers and managers in using technology tools - became an important step in acknowledgment of being innovative in modern days.
The roundtable - organized under the aegis of the "Relevant curriculum, open education for everyone - CRED" project, by the Ministry of National Education of Romania, as Beneficiary of the project, and the Institute of Educational Sciences, as main Partner - will bring together stakeholders from public sector, private companies and NGO’s, in order to initiate dialogues and debates in relation with innovation in education and training systems in the digital era.
The roundtable will follow the three priorities assumed by the Digital Education Action Plan:
