When i press the button "Capture", it activates the camera but i want to activate the camera before this and just record when i click on the button like snapchat. I think i miss somewhere when i open my camera but i don't find my mistakes...

You need to set up a preview stream from the camera before the capture button is pressed. It seems that you already have a preview class in the mPreview reference on your code. You need to make sure that it contains an Camera#startPreview() call when the preview surface is created in order to display live images from the camera. Another thing to keep in mind is that the preview class, which is an android View, needs to be visible in order to have its surface properly set up, meaning you have to make sure it is being properly created and its visibility is set to VISIBLE.

I want the picture to go straight to the ImageView without saving it to gallery if possible. As shown in the screenshot, it will ask to save everytime and will save straight to the gallery. Can this be achieved, or will I have to make my own ImageView camera?

implement your done and cancel on click listener - what you want to do in them.My code will capture your image, rotate it in the right direction irrespective of camera rotation and show it to you in a dialog before saving it

I don't use Bridge, I use Aperture 3 to organize my photos. I use the "edit with photoshop" function to send the photos to photoshop. When I do this though, my raw files do not automatically open with camera raw, as they would if I just opened them through photoshop itself.

Actually the solution you suggest, and which I have used in the past, doesn't work with my spanking new copy of PS6 which is why I was casting about for another way - in the end I had to open from Bridge.

Fair enough. I dug that image up from some old reference material. I don't know how it works specifically on Ps CS6 - I apologize for that. You haven't copied plug-ins from an older version have you? That's been known to mess up file opening abilities.

I guess the larger issue for me is that there are times when the Camera RAW toolsets and workflow really work for my photo editing tasks, where I want to quickly apply corrections to the images prior to opening them in Ps for detailed touch-up work. It would be nice if they just offered Camera Raw as a stand-alone product, rather than this weird value-added utility (and, I've never had much use for Bridge).

What happens when you select multiple images in Bridge and right-click and choose Edit in Camera Raw besides opening multiple images in ACR? Does nothing happen, or do you only see one photo, perhaps the one you right-clicked on?

I am aware that there are many scammers online but in my defense, the pandemic has left me with little or nothing to do. I was talking to a young lady on Google Hangouts and she wanted to send me a picture of herself but instead sent a what looks like a screenshot saying: Your camera will not start without an iTunes gift card.

Periodically I see used cameras on sale online with either a generic charger and no other accessories or sometimes no charger. My first thought is: stolen property. But to be optimistic, could it really be the case that people displace their OEM chargers so easily? What do you think if you see a camera sold with no charger or other accessories? Have you displaced that stuff before? I'm on the other side of the spectrum, keeping everything together, including original boxes and bits, so missing everything but the camera seems suspicious to me.

I agree that it looks "funny". I asked someone about the same situation once. He said he bought the camera at a pawn shop and it didn't include the oem charger. Even if I believed him I wasn't buying a pawn shop camera, so it didn't matter. That experience made me question ownership history a lot more than I used to.

Happens all the time. My wife lost her camera's charger before our last vacation and we found a third party replacement. And all the little doodads are easily misplaced in the backs of drawers if folks don't use them all the time.

. . . But to be optimistic, could it really be the case that people displace their OEM chargers so easily? What do you think if you see a camera sold with no charger or other accessories? I suspect that the problem most frequently occurs with occasional travelers who stay overnights in random hotel rooms. More frequent travelers who take a camera with them regularly are more likely to have developed a routine to collect all their bits and pieces before vacating the premises.

It can happen; I'm an example, although it's not really lost (and not a charger, but an important part of the kit). Thursday night I was preparing to use a camera (Oly E-M5II that I hadn't used in a while on a ferry trip across Puget Sound. I noticed that there was a new firmware update for the unit (as well as a couple of lenses), but a proprietary (almost) cable was necessary.

I had moved here from Korea a few months ago and many of my things are still in boxes - about 20 still unopened. That's because I'll be moving again in September. Knowing that each of my camera miscellany (collapsed) boxes, manuals, cables, receipts, and other, similar things were in ziploc bags somewhere in the boxes, which had been repacked by the shippers so my boxes labeled "Camera Misc." might contain socks. After about an hour of searching, I checked the prices for a replacement on Amazon as well as Prime delivery times.

Turns out, that with another search an hour later, I found the kit and the problem was solved. But, if I had to put the camera on eBay and the cable couldn't have been found, I just would have mentioned it in the listing, per the OP's examples, or, more likely, ordered a third-party cable before the listing and explained the issue in my auction description.

I admit it makes me a bit suspicious to see a camera for sale without a charger. Other bits don't bother me so much - I suspect a lot of people are like me and never use the cords and some of the other stuff. I'm convinced some monster in my closet eats the little covers that go in the hotshoe. I always take them out of a new camera and stick them in the box with the other stuff I don't use, but never seem able to find them when I'm ready to sell.

But at the same time I do not have a factory charger for my D800. I bought the camera used and the original charger wasn't working right - about half the time batteries were only about 2/3 charged. I had already ordered a set of 2 aftermarket batteries and charger so I never bothered trying to replace the Nikon item.

Since a few days while recording videos the sound is not recorded anymore. The audio level indicator does not react while recording, and it ends up in a silent movie. Recently it was all fine, and I did not change anything. Checking the files on the pc confirms that there is no audio.

The stock camera app works as usual on video sound, and doing phone calls is no problem, so it can not be a hardware issue.

Some cameras, like the Canon Rebel series, pre-wind the film: when you insert a new film, it unwinds the whole film on to the right spool. When you take photos, it winds the film back into the spool frame by frame. When you accidentally open the back, the frames that you took are saved because they are safely inside the film container.

until last saturday, because i forgot i had switched back from auto rewind camera to manual rewind one used above, while i was taking a few snapshots at the Met, having just seen their amazing exhibit

On one of the first rolls I shot with my first SLR, a Canon A-1, I inadvertently opened the back without rewinding. I was in full sun, and don't recall exactly how much I opened it-if I actually saw the film or if I just popped the back and realized my mistake before looking. Whatever the case, I snapped the back shut right away.

Oh, it's also really, really hard to open the back accidentally in those cameras, with either one or two keys that have to be flipped, then turned 180 degrees, you can feel the added resistance when turning if there's film in (and you're using the above cartridges).

Why did they make it so easy on later cameras? It's one of those things that should have an "are you really sure?" verification and a big lock, not some flimsy little latch that's easy to bump by accident.

A lot of pull-up-the-crank Nikons have a secondary lock that you have to slide over to pull it up and then open the back. The EL/EL2, FM and FE series, and F3-F5 have this(the F2 uses a key on the bottom, the F has a key in the same place but the whole back and bottom pull off). Funny enough, the F6 also opens via the rewind crank and does NOT have a lock. Canon put a secondary lock-a button that has to be pushed-on the original F-1 and New F-1. ff782bc1db
