Our Opal Gardens Library is a well stocked resource ready for you to enjoy at any time.

Our facilities include the following areas: 

• Novels – also including large print, biographical and

• Readers digest condensed books.

• DVDs and CDs

• Magazines

• Jigsaw Puzzles

• Computers – including free internet and printer.

Our library stock has been generously donated by the residents of Opal Gardens and we are always happy to accept new donations to share with our library users.

HOW TO USE OUR LIBRARY

1. BORROWING: 

The library operates on an “honesty system” whereby you borrow whatever items you wish to enjoy – there is no check out system. All we ask is that you return borrowed items as soon as you have finished with them to the “Returns” basket on the computer desk.

2. RETURNING BORROWED ITEMS: 

Place ALL returned items in the “Returns” basket. Please do not attempt to return any items to the shelves.

3. DONATING ITEMS TO THE LIBRARY: 

If you are donating just a few items, please place them in the white plastic “Donations” box found next to the “Returns” basket on the computer desk. If, however, you have quite a number of items, please make a list of these items and place it in the “Donations” box along with your name and villa number. We will then get back to you indicating which items we can accept.

4. WHAT CAN YOU DONATE? 

• Books: Only good condition novels.

• DVDs/CDs: Undamaged and recent.

• Magazines: In good condition and less than 12 months old.

• Jigsaw puzzles

The library team is a group of volunteers who give freely of their time to maintain the high standard of presentation, accessibility and tidiness that are features of our library. 

You can help the team very much by leaving the shelves as neat and tidy as you found them.

If you have any problems or if you have any suggestions to make you are encouraged to write them down and place them in the “Donations” box or chat to Sherill , V37 at any time.
