Chapter Overview
The Onyx Dragons fight every campaign as a sacred hunt. Scouts, Phobos elements, fast attack forces, and armored columns identify the prey, break its shell, tear out its heart, and burn away what remains. Their commanders are not distant strategists, but living banners of the Chapter’s wrath, leading from the front beneath drake-scale cloaks and flame-lit skies.
The Flame That Guides the Hunt
Chapter Master, Captains, Chaplains, Librarians, and the warriors who embody the will of the Onyx Dragons. Here are those who lead the hunt, carry its legacy, and deliver its final judgment.
The Emperor’s Fang Eternal
Veteran strike force. Terminators, Bladeguard, relic wargear, and the Chapter’s most honored warriors. Deployed as the final blow once the prey is broken.
2nd Company — Iron Claws
The Emperor’s Fang on Wheels
Mechanized shock spearhead built around armor, Dreadnoughts, Outriders, Intercessors, and decisive armored breaches.
3rd Company — Skyfangs
The Emperor’s Shadow from Above
Air-mobile rapid strike force specializing in jump assault, vertical envelopment, Storm Speeders, and gunship-supported kill strikes.
4th Company — Iron Drakes
The Emperor’s Iron Breath
Siege and urban warfare company built to crack walls, hold breaches, and advance through fire with heavy infantry and armored support.
5th Company — Skyshadows
The Emperor’s Silent Fang
Stealth insertion and night assault company that blinds the prey, strikes key nodes, and collapses enemy positions from within.
The Kill-Hunt Principle
To the Onyx Dragons, war is not chaos. It is pursuit. Every campaign begins with the identification of the prey: the commander, war machine, fortress, synapse beast, tomb node, or heretic engine whose destruction will unravel the enemy’s strength.
Once marked, the Chapter closes in with the patience of the wyrm. Armor breaks the shell. Fire strips away the defenses. Assault troops tear out the heart. What remains is burned so the prey cannot rise again.
Identify the Prey — Recon and fast attack elements isolate the decisive target.
Break the Shell — Armor, gunships, Dreadnoughts, and heavy weapons crack open the defense.
Tear the Heart — Assault troops and command elements destroy the key resistance point.
Burn the Remains — Survivors, infrastructure, and corruption are purged in flame.
Chapter Master Draconis
The First Flame, Lord of the Ebon Spire, Wyrm-Slayer of Velkrax
Chapter Master Draconis is the living embodiment of the Onyx Dragons’ creed. Bearing the relic jump pack Skywrath and the power glaive Emberfang, he descends at the decisive moment of the hunt, not as a symbol of reckless fury, but as discipline sharpened into annihilation.
