Onyx Squad SOP

Welcome to Onyx Squad. We are a specialized squadron of the Starfighter Corp focused on defending the ISD and other Pilots. As a member of Oynx Squad you will be asked to perform actions others are unwilling, or simply don’t have the training to do.

Rules And Regulations

As a Onyx Squadron member you will have priority in bombing runs and in defending. Your goal is to be as passive as you can to ensure the safety of the ISD, and your ships.

When giving information on a subject make sure you keep it short and simple. Ex: "Fighter to our right."

Do NOT take the jobs of another squadron. This rule mainly applies for when Gladius is in the air space and fighting other ships. If you want to focus on fighting, request permission from a Gladius Squadron member.

There should be no Player/Battalion dissing. Do not disrespect other subdivisions, either. It will result in an Strike depending on how severe it was.

TIE Bomber Rules

Do not have more than 1 bomber spawned in at a time.

Only OSC+ may fly the bomber without perms from a SL+.

You may not fly the bomber until reaching the rank of OSO.

You may only fly the bomber at 85 players or less.

If you are unsure, ask a GM or admin if the server can handle a bomber. DO NOT RISK IT.

Do not spam the rockets. Wait at least 2 seconds between dropping another rocket.

Make sure to wear the uniform corresponding to your rank.

Failure to follow these rules will result in immediate consequences.

If an issue arises, go to a person that is a rank above you within Onyx Squad. If the issue is about a rank above you, go to the next rank above that. Example: an OS has a problem with an OSO. Go to an OSC.

As an Onyx Squadron member you are the lowest ranking in Onyx and are tasked with patrolling the airspace and or practicing defensive maneuvers. 

Once you reach Onyx Squad Officer you will be tasked with hosting tryouts for Onyx Squad and will be evaluated periodically to see if you are fit for Onyx Squad Captain

As an Onyx Squad Captain you are tasked with commanding/guiding the Onyx Officer and Members.

As an Onyx Squad Vice Lead you will be able to promote and command all lower ranks. As Onyx Squad Lead you have the same powers as an OSVL but you will gain more authority.

Double Column

Defensive Formation [Fly behind a Gladius Member and ensure their safety.]

Escort Formation [Form a double column or single column behind the ship you are escorting and ensure it arrives to its destination safely.

Final Notes

Oynx Squad has zero tolerance for minges or disrespectful behavior. People that are inactive will be removed to open slots for others that are active. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a swift removal or demotion.

If you ever have questions about Oynx follow the CoC (Chain of Command) Ask other people your rank, then the next highest rank, and so on.
