On this site, I provide a formal analysis of the elements that characterize the Liar Paradox. The analysis focuses on three constituent elements:

1) self-declaration;

2) self-denial;

3) self-reference.

I hope that, by the end of reading this, you will be convinced that "The Liar Paradox" does not have the logical structure of a paradox.

THE LIAR'S PARADOX IN ITS FORMAL ESSENCE

The Liar's Paradox presents itself with the statement "this statement is false." I will try to analyze this paradox trying to see if the logic of this statement can be traced back to a general interpretative model. For this, a particular method is used that uses a graphical representation of Logical Operators, such as those used in Electronics. This method allows us to recognize the distinctive features of this statement and also allows us to assign an appropriate logical model. The Logical Operator used in this analysis is the XNOR Operator.

The final conclusion is that the statement “this sentence I false” should not be considered a paradox. The essential features of the Liar Paradox, namely self-denial and self-reference, are not decisive in generating a contradictory statement.
