At Cadoxton Primary School, our Online Safety Champions are dedicated to fostering a safe and positive digital environment for every student. We are committed to educating and empowering our peers about responsible online behavior, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world securely. Through ongoing support, advocacy, and collaborative initiatives, we strive to cultivate a culture of digital citizenship, where every child feels confident, informed, and protected while using technology. AIMS
Teach About Online Safety: We'll hold classes and talks to teach students about staying safe online, handling cyberbullying, keeping things private, and using the internet responsibly.
Help Each Other Online: We'll support our classmates in using the internet safely. We'll share tips and assist them if they face any online problems.
Spread Awareness: We'll organise events to tell everyone - students, teachers, and parents - why it's important to be safe online and be good digital citizens.
Work with Teachers: We'll team up with teachers to add online safety lessons to our schoolwork. We'll give teachers tools to teach us about being safe online.
Involve Families: We'll talk to parents and the community to share good ways of keeping safe online, so everyone at home can be safe too.
Speak Up for Better Rules: We'll talk about making better online safety rules in our school so that we can be safe and happy online.
Healthy Online Habits: We'll encourage activities that help us use screens wisely and find a balance between online and offline activities for our health.
Keep Learning: We'll always learn about new ways to stay safe online to help everyone in our school community.
Encourage Leadership: We'll inspire students to be leaders in keeping us all safe online and make sure everyone knows it's our job to create a good online environment.
Check and Improve: We'll regularly see if what we're doing works well, ask for thoughts, and change things to help everyone be safer online.
