Congo (Democratic Republic of)

Top Congo FM, Kinshasa. Operating since 2003, this French-speaking station from the former Zaire broadcasts news, talk and African music (including soukous). The station signed an affiliate agreement with the Voice of America in 2014. Accordingly, Top Congo FM uses VOA reporters and airs additional news from VOA’s French to Africa Service. Story. Kenya

98.4 Capital FM, Nairobi, is an urban station broadcasting from Lornho House in the central business district of the Kenyan capital. Besides airing plenty of hip-hop, modern r & b and dance music, they provide "Soul Show" and "The Capital Jazz Club" on Sundays.

MoZambique

Rádio Moçambique (Antena Nacional) operates in this former Portuguese colony in Eastern Africa. The headquarters of the national radio are located in the city centre of Maputo, right beside the Tunduru Botanical Garden.

Before the nationalization in 1975, Rádio Moçambique was known as a commercial station Rádio Clube de Moçambique. Like any national main channel, they air talk and music today, particularly the local ngoma dance music (Sundays at 1000) with solid steam quality in stereo. Facebook. Wikipedia (in German). Nigeria

FRCN Kapital FM, Abuja. Nigerian radio stations go often offline. One of the excptions, Kapital FM, broadcasts from Abuja in the centre of the country. Programming of this local outlet of the national radio includes eg. news, some public service programmes ("Health Issues"), radio plays and "Weekend Flava" on Saturday evenings. Sierra Leone

Capital Radio, Freetown. Broadcasting from Mammy Yoko Hotel complex in Freetown, Capital Radio is one of the most listened commercial radios in this West African country. South Africa (Republic of)

SABC Channel Africa, Johannesburg. Channel Africa, the international service of the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation, broadcasts news, information ("Africa Digest"), culture ("Book Reading") and music ("Rhythms of Africa"), focusing on South Africa and the rest of the continent. TUNISIA

Radio of Tunisia (Radio Tunisienne), Tunis, Tunisia. The national premiere channel broadcasts in Arabic. Programming includes talk shows and Arabic music. The station went on the air already in 1938. -Stream off, February 2019.

Zimbabwe

Zi FM, Harare. The first privately owned radio station in this country went on air in August 2012. Their contents are 70% music and 30% talk. Facebook.
