HISTORY
The MPNAG - Senior High School (MPNAG-SHS) started its operation on June 13, 2016 as mandated by Republic Act# 10533 or the Enhanced Basic Education of 2013 with only 414 Grade 11 students. The program offers three (3) Tracks namely: Academic, Arts and Design and Technical Vocation and Livelihood Track.
Under the Academic Track, MPNAG-SHS offers Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and General Academic Strand (GAS). While for TVL, the school specializes in Home Economics strand.
Currently, MPNAG-SHS has a total of 788 students from Grades 11 and 12 being supervised by its newly installed Asst. School Principal, Mr. RHYAN O. MEDINA. Mr. Medina is the third administrator and second Assistant School Principal to handle the department after the designation of Mr. POMPIO B. FLORO Jr., as Teacher-Incharge of Donya Basilisa Yangco Elementary School in 2019. Mr. Floro was the first to be appointed as Assistant School Principal of MPNAG-SHS and the second to be its administrator in 2018 replacing then, Mrs. RUTH F. LACANILAO, who was designated as Assistant to the Principal for Senior High School and served as its first administrator in 2016.
Despite the changes in the administration, MPNAG-SHS continuously progress and evolved through time. Now, MPNAG-SHS has more than 70 classrooms on its three 4-storey buildings located at the backyard of the school. The department also has various function and laboratory rooms designed for the development of the students skills based from their field and career specialization.
When it comes to curriculum development and instructions, MPNAG-SHS designed and conceptualized programs, projects and activities that will enhance the quality and accessibility of education to all the learners. Some of the PPAs of the department includes; Project TARDI, Project KASAMA, ABM and STEM Enhancement, ABM and STEM Career Assessment Examination, Career Fair, Senior's Night and many more. Likewise, various linkages are being done to assure that the students will have the best immersion venue so that they can practice and apply the theories and principles they have learned inside the classroom in the real-life scenario.
Two of the latest innovations done by MPNAG-SHS this 2020 are the digitization of the department and the opening of a new Academic Strand which is Humanities and Social Sciences.
Under the digitization program, MPNAG-SHS will embrace the utilization of the online and digital platform to provide quality and accessible service to the students, parents, and other stakeholders of the school. The school envision to launch various online programs such as; social media campaign, online registration, website, and mobile application.
Lastly, starting School Year 2020-2021, MPNAG-SHS will become the 2nd public school in the Division of Mandaluyong to offer the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand (HUMSS). The said strand is new from the existing three strands under the Academic Track. It is projected that the program will give additional 80 to 100 students to the Senior High School Department making MPNAG-SHS as the largest Senior High School in the city.

As a "Senior High School of Choice", MPNAG - Senior High School envisions to produce students who are functionally literate and productive citizens of our nation, equipped with values, skills and competencies that enable them to realize their full-potential and contribute meaningfully to build the nation through diverse classroom instructions that are aligned with their career of choice.
