CAT (Common Admission Test) is the most prestigious and comprehensive national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA courses in India. It is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) . It is a computer-based test.
The CAT 2026 exam is expected to have a 2-hour duration with 66-68 questions,
totaling approximately 198-204 marks. The test consists of three sections: VARC (approx. 24 Qs, 72 marks), DILR (approx. 20-22 Qs, 60-66 marks), and QA (approx. 22 Qs, 66 marks).
Each correct answer fetches +3 marks, while -1 is deducted for incorrect MCQs; TITA (Type-In-The-Answer) questions have no negative marking.
