Remote online notarizations are conducted through a secure, legally compliant platform designed specifically for official notarial acts.
All sessions are held via high-definition, real-time video conferencing and protected with end-to-end encryption to safeguard your personal information.
In accordance with New York State regulations, each session is audio-visually recorded and securely stored for a minimum of 10 years to maintain a complete audit trail.
To ensure security and prevent fraud, each signer must complete multi-step identity verification, including:
✔ Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA), using verified public and financial data sources
✔ Credential Analysis of government-issued photo identification to confirm authenticity
These measures help ensure that every notarization is legally valid and properly verified.
All remote online notarizations are performed in full compliance with New York Executive Law Section 135-c governing Remote Online Notarization (RON).
What documents do I need to provide for remote notarization?
You will need the document to be notarized and a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) for electronic identity verification.
Is remote notarization legally valid?
Yes. Remote Online Notarization (RON) is legally valid in New York and most U.S. states.
As a New York Commissioned Notary, I strictly follow state regulations regarding identity verification and secure communication technology to ensure every act is legally binding.
What is "Knowledge-Based Authentication" (KBA)?
As part of the secure identity proofing process required by New York law, you will be asked a series of security questions generated from public and proprietary data sources.
This ensures that only the legitimate signer can access the session.
Do I need to sign the document before the session?
No. In fact, you must not sign the document in advance.
New York law requires the notary to witness the signing in real-time via the audiovisual platform; you will sign electronically during our live session.
Can I notarize international documents?
Yes, a New York notary can certify documents for international use.
However, the document may require an apostille or authenticated legalization certificate from the New York Department of State for international acceptance.
Without this authentication, a document may not be recognized in a foreign country.

Where can the signer be located for a remote session?
One of the primary benefits of Remote Online Notarization (RON) is its flexibility. While I'm commissioned by the State of New York, and must be physically present within New York State to perform the notarization, you (the signer) do not need to be in New York
Within the U.S., I can notarize for signers located in any of the 50 states or U.S. territories.
International: I can notarize for signers located outside the United States, provided the document has a "substantial connection" to the U.S. (e.g., involving property or legal matters within the U.S.).
What technology do I need for the session?
You will need a computer, laptop, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone.
A strong internet connection is essential, and the Google Chrome browser is highly recommended for the best performance on our platform.
Is the session recorded?
Yes. To comply with New York state regulations, a complete audio-visual recording of the notarization session is made and securely retained for at least 10 years.
This provides an additional layer of security and a permanent audit trail for all parties involved.
What happens if I miss my scheduled appointment?
If you miss your scheduled session, you will need to reschedule through the platform.
Please note that cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply.
To ensure a smooth remote notarization session, please review the following requirements:
