Botanically named local native wildflower show of approximately 350 species displayed in the museum precinct. The historic buildings contain native foods display, railway history, herbarium, machinery and shearing displays and social history from the Ongerup and Needilup areas.

Tie in your visit to the Ongerup Wildflower Display this year with this year’s Bloom Festival Launch which kicks off in Ongerup with the Bloom Street Party — a free community celebration of Spring and the town’s vibrant Town Team Makeover.

Enjoy a lively mix of entertainment, including dancers, live music by Ongerup-born country singer Shenai Johnston, delicious food stalls, local markets, Jamie the Clown and a host of family-friendly activities to spark the imagination of both young and old.

Dale Tilbrook will be hosting a FREE 1.5hr Bush Tucker Talk and Tasting Experience.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 27th FROM 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

⚲ Ongerup

Held during the "Bloom Street Party" in Ongerup. Join Dale Tilbrook to explore Aboriginal agricultural practices, learning about different native food and medicine plants through the six seasons. Sharing knowledge of big food resources and sampling different bush tucker fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs and leaves.  Followed by savoury and sweet bush tucker dishes.

Dietary requirements can be met, please specify at checkout.

This is a FREE event but advance booking is required.  Duration 1.5 hours.
