Privacy Policy — One Thing
Last updated: April 2026
One Thing is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. This privacy policy explains what we collect, store, and share — which is nothing.
What we collect
We collect nothing. One Thing does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, analytics, or any other information about you or your device.
Where your data is stored
The task you write stays entirely on your device. It is stored in your phone's local storage and never leaves your device. There are no servers, no cloud sync, and no accounts.
Internet access
One Thing does not require or use an internet connection. The app works entirely offline. No network requests are made at any time.
Third parties
We do not share your data with any third parties. There are no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or any other third-party code embedded in the app.
Permissions
One Thing requests the following permissions:
Post Notifications — Used only to send you the gentle morning and evening nudges you configure in settings. Notifications are generated entirely on your device and contain only the task text you have written yourself.
Receive Boot Completed — Used to reschedule your nudge notifications after your phone restarts. No data is transmitted.
Schedule Exact Alarm — Used to deliver nudge notifications at the times you set. No data is transmitted.
Children
One Thing does not collect any data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this document. Given the nature of the app, we do not anticipate any changes that would affect your privacy.
Contact
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can contact us at the email address listed on our Play Store listing.
In short: One Thing knows nothing about you. That's the point.
