Solar Charge Controller: It is a device that regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels going to the battery. Its primary function is to prevent the batteries from overcharging, which can reduce battery performance or lifespan, and to protect against overvoltage, which can reduce the system's performance. There are two types of solar charge controller. MPPT solar charge controller & PWM solar charge controller.

MPPT Solar Charge Controller: MPPT controllers are more efficient than PWM controllers because they adjust their input to deliver the maximum power possible to the battery. More expensive but can optimize the performance of your solar array, especially in varying weather conditions.
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) Charge Controllers: These controllers slowly lower the amount of power applied to the batteries as they approach capacity, reducing the risk of overcharging. Most cost-effective and are suitable for smaller systems where efficiency is not as critical.
