If you want in-ear listening with active noise cancellation and adaptive switching, choose OnePlus Buds 4; if you need an open-ear clip design that keeps your ear canal uncovered, choose Boytond Open Ear Earbuds. For glasses wearers, the key difference is where each pair sits: OnePlus uses an in-ear fit, while Boytond clips over the ear.
OnePlus Buds 4 vs Boytond Open Ear Earbuds at a Glance
• OnePlus Buds 4: In-ear fit, active noise cancellation, adaptive switching, 11mm drivers, and Bluetooth 5.4. Trade-off: the earbud sits inside the ear, which may not suit someone who dislikes in-ear headphones.
• Boytond Open Ear Earbuds: Open-ear clip design, 16.3mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, and up to 50 hours of total playback with the case. Trade-off: its open design does not provide the same noise-isolating approach as active noise cancellation.
• Choose OnePlus if you want your listening to feel more separate from surrounding noise and value the in-ear format.
• Choose Boytond if you want your ear canal uncovered for conversation and awareness while walking or exercising.
• For glasses wearers: The designs make different contact points around the ear, so consider whether you prefer an in-ear bud or an over-ear clip before choosing.
OnePlus Buds 4 is the more suitable option if you want an in-ear listening experience with active noise cancellation. Its 11mm dynamic drivers are paired with Hi-Res Audio and LHDC 5.0 support, while the adaptive mode is designed to switch between noise cancellation and transparency. That combination gives it a clear purpose: listening with more control over how much of the outside environment comes through.

The case provides over 24 hours of playback, and Bluetooth 5.4 supports wireless connections for music, calls, gaming, and video. Those features make OnePlus a reasonable fit for someone who wants one pair for different listening situations, including commutes or time spent focusing. The available information does not specify a separate earbud-only playback figure, so I would not treat the case total as continuous listening time on a single charge.
The main trade-off is the in-ear design. If you dislike having an earbud inside your ear canal, or want to remain aware of nearby conversation without switching modes, Boytond’s open-ear approach may suit you better. Glasses wearers should also consider the physical fit: the supplied details identify OnePlus as an in-ear model, but do not provide a glasses-specific fit claim. If your priority is finding bluetooth headphones for glasses wearers, the most useful question is whether an in-ear fit works for you, rather than assuming either pair is guaranteed to sit comfortably with every frame.
Boytond takes the opposite approach. Its small clip-style earbuds rest over the ear rather than inside the canal, leaving the ear open. The design is intended to let ambient sound remain audible and to avoid the enclosed feeling associated with in-ear earbuds. That makes it the more natural match for outdoor walks, running, workouts, or everyday situations where hearing nearby sounds matters.
The product information describes a 16.3mm driver and says the audio tuning prioritizes voice clarity. It also identifies calls, navigation, and podcasts as suitable uses. This is a different listening proposition from OnePlus: Boytond emphasizes awareness and communication, not active noise cancellation. The open design may be appealing for someone who wants to listen while staying available for conversation, but it is not the pick here for blocking distractions.
Battery is a notable strength in the stated specifications. Boytond offers up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, with an additional 40 hours from the charging case, for up to 50 hours total. It also has a waterproof design, although the product information does not give a specific waterproof rating. Bluetooth is listed as version 5.3 in the product details, while the feature description refers to Bluetooth 5.4; because those details conflict, I would not use the version number as a deciding advantage.
For glasses wearers, Boytond may be worth considering if an in-ear bud is uncomfortable, since its clip rests outside the ear canal. But the details do not establish how the clip interacts with glasses arms, and an over-ear contact point could matter depending on your frames. It is one option among rechargeable ear clip headphones for glasses wearers, not a guaranteed fit for every person. I would choose it for the open-ear format and awareness benefits, not on an unsupported promise that it will feel better with glasses.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for keeping your ears open → Boytond Open Ear Earbuds. The clip-on design leaves the ear canal uncovered and is intended to preserve awareness of surrounding sounds.
• Best for longer stated total playback with the case → Boytond Open Ear Earbuds. Its claimed total is up to 50 hours, compared with over 24 hours for OnePlus with its case.
• Best if you prefer an in-ear fit → OnePlus Buds 4. Its earpiece is designed to sit in the ear, unlike Boytond’s over-ear clip.
• Best for outdoor listening where awareness matters → Boytond Open Ear Earbuds. The open-ear design is the more direct match for walking, running, and activity around other people.
• Best for switching between more isolated and more open listening → OnePlus Buds 4. Its adaptive mode is designed to move between noise cancellation and transparency.
• Best fit to consider if you dislike ear-canal pressure → Boytond Open Ear Earbuds. Its design does not block the canal, though the clip itself still contacts the ear.
• Best for glasses wearers who want an in-ear option → OnePlus Buds 4. Its shape avoids an over-ear clip, but the supplied specifications do not confirm glasses compatibility or individual comfort.
I would choose OnePlus Buds 4 if I wanted in-ear listening, active noise cancellation, and a mode that can shift toward transparency. For glasses wearers, I would not call either pair a universal fit: OnePlus avoids an over-ear clip, while Boytond keeps the canal open but rests around the ear. My opinion is that Boytond is the stronger match for awareness and extended total playback, but OnePlus is the more versatile choice when noise control matters. For someone searching for the best headphones for glasses wearers, I would start with the design that avoids their personal pressure points, then choose based on whether isolation or awareness matters more.
There is no glasses-specific fit information that establishes a universal winner. OnePlus is in-ear; Boytond clips over the ear, so the interaction with glasses arms may differ from person to person.
Boytond lists up to 10 hours of playback on one charge and up to 50 hours total with its case. OnePlus lists over 24 hours with the charging case, but the supplied information does not give a separate single-charge figure.
The product details describe an open-ear design that leaves the ear canal uncovered and allows surrounding sounds to remain audible. They do not list active noise cancellation; OnePlus Buds 4 does.
Boytond is the more direct choice if you want an open-ear design intended to preserve awareness during outdoor activity. Choose OnePlus if active noise cancellation and an in-ear fit matter more, while keeping in mind that its listening approach is less focused on open-ear awareness.
