Luffy and crew head into Big Mom's stronghold and sucessfully take back Sanji, who was being forced into a political marriage with Big Mom's daugther. They the join forces Bege in a plot to assassinate Big Mom that ultimately fails, putting them on the run from an angry Big Mom who didn't get to eat her wedding cake. Thanks to Pedro's sacrifice and the help of Jimbei's crew, they escape Whole Cake Island and hear for Wano, where the rest of the group waits...

Meanwhile, the Reverie begins at Sacred Marijoa. This is a council where various familiar faces and monarchs meet, where the plots of the Navy, Revolutionares, and World Government collide and interwine in world-changing ways... At the same time, the advance party under Kin'emon's instructions is busy with crucial a mission...

Luffy and crew defeat Doflamingo, then get through a scuffle with Emperor of the Sea, Big Mom, on their way to Wano for the purpose of taking down Kaido. The lead party of Robin, Usopp and Franky have been undertaking clandestine work to prepare for the coming battle. But when Luffy saves Otama from Kaido's followers, the enemy side learns of his presence and chases after him! Later, he meets up Kin'emon and learns that Momonosuke and the samurai have actually jumped through time from the Wano of 20 years ago! The plan is made to complete Oden's desire and strike down Kaido at Onigashima, the island of ogres, in two weeks' time! Just then, Kaido himself appears in the form of gigantic dragon!

Meanwhile, Robin gets invited to Orochi's palace with Komurasaki the Oiran. She Engages in some intelligence gathering until she's spotted by Orochi's followers and trouble ensues!!

Kin'emon and company mourn his death, but there are still many problems to be solved before the raid...

Despite his earlier defeat, Luffy charges back into battle with Kaido one last time!! Elsewhere, Kid and Law face off against Big Mom in pitched battle!! Sanji and Zolo challenge the Lead Performers Queen and King and emerge victorious, despite great injury...

All that's left is Luffy's battle with Kaido, where the extreme level of combat causes Gum-Gum Fruit to awaken, activating Gear Five!! The epic war on Onigashima is finally about to reach its conclusion!!
