Instructor Karen Butler offers five 60-minute classes for 12 children, ages 5-12, with a public performance as the finale. Creative Acting Class is a useful tool for encouraging positive and complex behavior with others. Children learn to take direction, tune into their body language, and work well with others. The class will encourage empathy and spark imagination, creating strong bonds with others and thereby strengthening our relationships in the community. Ms. Butler will provide the props and equipment and will be assisted by Rachel Rissberger. The cost of the class will be $25 per student.
Paintfest is an annual event hosted by the Oneonta World of Learning (OWL) that celebrates creativity and community engagement through art and science. Paintfest invites participants of all ages to explore their artistic talents and enjoy a day filled with painting activities, workshops, and demonstrations. Local non-profits, families, and community members come together to express themselves and foster a love for the arts in a fun, collaborative atmosphere. The event not only promotes artistic expression but also supports OWL’s mission of enhancing early childhood development through creative play and learning experiences.
