OH Web Browser (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app. We comply with global privacy laws, including:
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)
Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) in Brazil
This policy applies to the OH Web Browser app available on Google Play.
We do not collect or store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on our servers. However, the app processes certain data as part of its normal functionality:
a. Local Data (Bookmarks, Settings, Backups, and Feed Preferences):
Stored on your device or in a location you select using the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF).
Feed preferences (such as country, region, language, and topics) are stored locally.
If you enable automatic backup, bookmarks, settings, and feed preferences are saved to the chosen location (local storage or third-party cloud).
We cannot access, transmit, or modify this data.
b. Advertising Data (Google AdMob):
Ad networks may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID) and infer approximate location (via IP address) to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads.
c. Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics):
We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage trends, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
Firebase may collect:
Device information (model, OS version).
App interactions (screen views, feature usage).
Crash logs and diagnostics.
Approximate location (via IP address) for aggregated reporting.
Data is aggregated and not linked to your identity by us.
d. In-App Purchases:
Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.
e. New Permissions, SDKs, and Endpoints:
From time to time, our app may integrate new SDKs, permissions, or endpoints to improve functionality (e.g., analytics, ads, backup features).
All changes are disclosed in app updates, and we update this Privacy Policy as required.
Our app displays online content through RSS feeds. By default, the app includes a Google News feed URL.
Users may add or remove their own feed URLs and customize content based on country, region, language, or topics.
We do not host or control the content displayed.
Content is fetched directly from third-party sources, which are responsible for their own privacy practices and terms.
Feed URLs and preferences added by users are processed locally and are not collected or stored by us.
Performance of a Contract: To provide core app functions (e.g., backups, settings, feed customization).
Legitimate Interests: To serve ads, collect app performance data, and improve the app.
