Due to the present and consistently changing situation, we have now been recommended by the majority of our Church coverings not to meet this Saturday. We at One - Young Adults honour these leaders and fully back their recommendation. We are working to develop a safe way to carry on our fellowship, prayer, bible study and worship together. For now, we encourage you to keep reading the word and praying on your own. Please follow our social media for updates as we navigate this situation.
We also feel it necessary to acknowledge why we had originally planned to meet. Last week, we spoke with local Church leaders and decided our response was to split into smaller groups while following stricter recommendations. These were made by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit; all of our proactive measures were within provincial regulation. Our heart was to continue walking in biblical fellowship while taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Due to community feedback and advice from our overseers, we have changed our stance and are taking further proactive measures. We apologize to those who interpreted this decision as irresponsible and misrepresenting Christ’s values. We thank you for the feedback we received that helped us come to this decision. We at One - Young Adults, like all Church fellowships, are trying to find the line of pursuing biblical fellowship and walking in wisdom.
We pray that this season would be a time for us all to grow in humility and love towards Christ our Lord. May we be unified through the one hope we have in Christ.
“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6 ESV
