About Us

Hello, I am Joseph Mongillo, the owner and Head Baker of One Smart Cookie. Entirely self-taught, I specialize in custom sugar cookies and cakes. One Smart Cookie was established in February of 2018. 

I fell in love with cookie decorating when I first tried making cookies for fun on Valentine's Day. As my biggest supporter, my parents told their colleagues about my journey, and I received my first order of Lego-themed cookies. I made those knowing very little but was super excited for the task. The snowball effect kicked in once I posted those cookies, and I have never looked back.
