A brief history
A brief history
The idea for this project was borrowed from the One Seed/One Community project started in Richmond California. Using their experience, we will try something similar, growing beans in the maritime Pacific Northwest.
The 2026 portion of One Seed will be all about learning the process.
For most participants, it will be about learning good/best practices for growing, harvesting, preserving, and preparing beans to eat.
For the organizers, it will be all about learning how to streamline the process to make the learning experience seamless, and make the organizing process easy. Well, easier. Easy-ish?
We'll be giving and seeking feedback at every step, with the goal of embiggening the project in 2027 so that MANY nice people can grow and enjoy the beans.
